Donahue will need to fill out that 6'3 frame for sure. Hopefully what he lacks in physique, he makes up for in terms of his motor.
that's pretty much it for me as well. Hackenberg is the only reason to watch in 17. If he sucks we look forward to the draft where we look to get a QB. If he doesn't suck we look forward to the draft where we look to someone to help our QB. if they play Mcclown all year there will be a lot of extra time available on sundays in the fall...
Hackenberg Jamal Adams Quincy Enunwa ASJ Leonard Williams Morris Claiborne Darron Lee Robby Anderson Marcus Maye Dylan Donahue
Jamal Adams Christian Hackenberg Marcus Maye Bryce Petty Brandon Shell Leonard Williams Quincy Enunwa Jordan Jenkins Muhammad Wilkerson Lorenzo Mauldin It is odd to me that Wilkerson isn't on anybody else's list. How/If he steps up this season is vitally important to the near- and mid-term success of this franchise.
Why does Hackenberg sink or swim this year? I think he needs to noticibly beat out Petty. If he doesnt, Let Petty get the reps. See what he has this year. Hack is 22 years old. He has time. And if Petty isnt the answer they can cut him and let Hack play the last few games and then let him compete with Darnold or whoever the Jets bring in as their new Sanchize I mean savior.
The longest tenured Jet, Tanner Purdum. The more he sees the field (i.e. 4th and long) the better prospects for a top pick next spring. : )
Too many people to list, but I am primarily focused on Wilkerson, Hackenberg and Todd Bowles. Everything else is filler.
I'm on that. I think he's gonna kick some ass this year, along with Leo. McClendon is a good player, and Simon has another year under his belt. I expect Sheldon to reap the benefits from that also. I'm looking forward to Lee. I'm a little worried about the distractions, but I wanna see if he can advance, Jenkins too. I'm down on Mauldin. Adams, and Maye obviously, and Hack.
Donahue was getting swallowed up by 4th string tackles at OTA. But he seems to be a personal pet of Kevin Greene and getting all the coaching. Greene is neglecting the other LB's.
Umm... it's not even training camp yet. So to say that Greene is "neglecting" the other OLB's is a bit extreme. And just because Greene see's talent and untapped potential in Donahue (as a football coach) doesn't mean that Donahue is now his "personal pet". It's not even TC yet and we already have coaches "neglecting" players? That's a first for me...
Hey I'm just quoting the article. Stuff like that happens all the time in sports. My coach played his kid over other talented kids and his kid suck.
