Vrabel I think will do ok in NE.
I don’t think he is the answer here.
    Now it’s pretty irrelevant.

Who is your top pick now?

Yeah, with a top talent QB there, Vrabel might actually do pretty well. I just want to see them hire Vrabel already, so I know Ben Johnson (my top two choice) won't be there. With us, and no QB or a path to get top QB talent in the near future, we will need to develop one, who is not top 3 pick. For that I think it is important to get a top offensive coach. With Ben Johnson not wanting to come here, I want to get one of Monken, Brady, Coen, and Kingsbury. Unfortunately only Brady is on the list so far.

Good point on Johnson possibly to NE.

    I like monken.
I don’t know shit about Brady.

Why kingsbury? He’s on a lot of lists.

He has top 5 offense in NFL this year, made play-offs before as a HC in Arizona. Developed Daniels in the 1st year. Out of all retreads HCs I think he rebounded extremely well and may be worth a shot. Certainly a lot more than others on the list.

I forgot he made the playoffs.
That makes more sense to me now

We could still get Lynn as an OC. He is close to Rex Ryan and I believe he's only "run game coordinator" in Washington so offensive coordinator/Assistant HC is in play

I hope. He can score. He’s been to the playoffs twice as a coach I believe. I think he had a winning record 3 of 4 seasons.

I’ve had enough of defensive coaches.

Lynn would be the best offensive mind here since Herm Edwards.

Herman Edwards wasn't an offensive mind. Seek attention elsewhere, please

You can follow the Rooney rule as it was intended and still get your guy. Someone may even surprise and change your mind. The latter doesn’t happen when you do what Kraft did.

Same here. I want the best HC we can get...damned everything else. diversity has zero to do with this. First three HC to get the axe namely NY, Las Vegas and NE were all diversity and all got canned because of piss poor performance, nothing else.so it cuts both ways. Add to it the many white retreads we are interviewing. Forget it. Flores on the other hand just got hired and he is very deserving of it. Get the best HC irrespective of everything else.

I’m starting to warm up to Josh McCown. 3 different teams (Jets, Texans and Eagles) have tossed around the idea of making him a head coach despite the complete lack of experience. Everyone that comes in contact w/ him say he’s destined to be a great coach. Fucking Parcells is the first one to pull him to the side midway through his career and suggest he pursue coaching. There’s something there that we may get an early jump on.

    Maybe.
He seemed like a good leader/teacher when he was here.

The only thing I worry about is that he seems to an arm around the shoulder build you up type leader. Can he be the asshole when it’s needed?

    That I don’t know.
But I get the same feeling that he is very positive.
Doesn’t mean he can’t get mad if he needs to. Just hasn’t been seen yet

he is not ready. he will have the same issues as Jerod Mayo, he doesn't have enough connections to fill in a capable staff

Saleh was positive. I think his lack of a bad cop side led to his demise.

    Yeah.
I like Mccown as a black horse candidate.
But I’m not sold on anyone.
the last coach I really wanted was mike McCarthy but we hired Gase.
No one wows me this time around.
At least no one that would come here

Mayo only played for one team. McCown has played practically for all 32. He has relationships with a lot of players former and current, coaches, FO personnel and owners. How do you think a guy like that gets HC interviews w/o any experience? He’s the quintessential “leader of men” that everyone loves to talk about.
