I blasted Vince based on this bogus report, but I made sure to say "IF" it is true

But I was very strong in my criticism ... I basically had Vince falling like a rock ... I did say "IF", but I still feel bad for blasting away in light of this massive mishap ... the cat who graded that test should be horse-whipped

I recall that Ahmad Chalabi was Judy Millers source on her NY Times stories on WMD and her second source the White House got their information from Ahmad Chalabi. Second sources as confirmation if they got the information from the original leak source who may have been lying doesn't make it a credible second source.

What really is incredible about this is Young himself is a guy who scares the crap out of all the GM who are picking in the top 5. No matter how you look at Young, whether you hate him or love him, he is a GM's nightmare because he doesn't fit into the NFL QB mold.

The NFL is trying to create complete parity and competitive balance. The draft selection process is designed to ensure it. The testing is suppossed to a create a clean lineup of athletes in numerical order to help maintain this balance. If a player like Young who doesn't fit the mold happens to not fit into the combine order choas will prevail and the NFL as we know it will end up as another 2nd rate sport headed to the dust bin of history much like the NHL and NBA. In order to keep choas from prevailing Young needs to be eliminated from the top of the draft ASAP. This is clearly a conspiracy in order to preserve the American way of life. After all if competitive balance fails and the NFL fails France could end up the SB champion in football.:eek:hmy:

Thank you Winston, that's what I've been trying to say all along; though my attempts were in a much less worldly manner.

I have still yet to see anyone post something proving that PFT was not the originator of this rumor. They were the first to post it, and the first to debunk it. In all the other stories about this I've seen, they all cite "sources" and give an opinion, but stop well short of being the ones that are reporting it, because they know that they don't have enough to do so. It's the reason that websites like CNNSI usually have a fact article and an opinion article with all major news as it breaks, this time, just opinion.
