That's fine, but don't act like the Yankees are innocent. They did win their 4 recent Championships right in the middle of the Steroid Era afterall and none since the end of the era

What years are considered the steroid era?

Tru, but with these recent reports about Manny and Ortiz turns out neither team is really "innocent" through this era

No team is. Not one. Which is why no one should care. The playing field was even.

Billy Traber pitched more effectively than John Smoltz.

    Time to retire, dude.

Depends who you talk to. Some say it's from the Mid 90s and some say it started in the late 80s. It ended when they started mandatory testing.

I hope they can at least score some runs to make the Yankees use at least one more reliever.

I never did, but thank you for putting words in my mouth, implying that I said they were innocent.

Whatever is convenient for the person making the claim. Any Red Sox fan will tell you that it was before 1996, and the entire 96' Yankees team was juicing....

Manny "shooting up" Manny, and the Big "steriod popping" Papi....

I was kidding with my Sox fan friend and said "You better get ready for a 2nd straight Wild Card" and he said "So? We won the World Series as a Wild Card team in 2004". Should have said something like "Its still early." Oh well. :)

Did I quote you? No I didn't. I was making a reference to the person I originally quoted.

Mike: "...and we have a winner! Jenny, tell him what he wins."

Jenny: "ummm, you win eight more ROID SOX posts from Eli's little brother."

Mike: "Sorry, jonny, it's a rough economy and all. I'm sure you understand..."

    ==========

    welcome back John Locke.

I can't believe I just sat through that entire game.

In 1996 three teams broke the single season record for HRs and 17 players hit 40 or more HRs shattering the previous record of 8 players set in 1961. Steroids were pretty widespread in 1996 or do you dispute that?

Yep and Baltimore was one of the three teams to break the single season HR record. Seattle and Oakland being the other two.

Sorry, was I supposed to use giant, colored letters and middle school level "cleverness"?
