God, it's obvious he sucks right now, but just fucking wait. You will all be licking his taint 2 years from now when he's making the league look stupid when he uses, you know, all 4 of his plus pitches.
He's not 2 years from being a MLB caliber pitcher. I think he's shown that he's already there. I think his point was that - in two years - if the consistency is there/comes back, he's going to be more than just MLB caliber. He'll be ridiculously good. (Like we saw in 2008.) That said, he's been really, really, really inconsistent from game to game and inning to inning... a stint in the minors might not be a bad idea to start the year.
Jeter was close to tying Lou Gehrig? I had no idea. You think it'd be the kind of thing they'd mention.
Chamberlain has a couple of starts left to totally turn around or he has no chance of starting in the post season. He was supposed to go at least 4 innings in the last two start and he barely made 3 tonight, less in his last one. He is nowhere near ready or capable to start a postseason game.
Joba looked really good after the first. As for the other stuff, you don't know how long he was "supposed" to go, and you don't know that he has "no chance" of starting a postseason game. Oh, and he did go 3.0 innings in his last start, not less. And, Jake, that's not right either. Joba had three starts after the ASB that were arguably his three best of the season. After THOSE starts, he's looked like shit, for the most part.
Biggest Dick Head in all of baseball. So glad his shifts and overmanaging got the best of him today; seriously, fuck him.
They announced it at least three times during the game. Did they lie? Last night and his previous start were supposed to be 4, his next one 5 and his last against Boston is supposed to be 6. Anyway, there is no chance he gets a start unless he can pitch 6 inning before the regular season is over and unless he figures out a way to get out of an inning consistently on less than 20 pitches there is no way he will. They can't be depending on the pen to bail him out in the playoffs too.
