well I was hopping that Jeter would get a hit tonight so I could see him break the record tomorrow, I just hope he has a monster day
Good question, I think we all just got lazy and I've personally been more focused on the upcoming football season. Plus I'm a coward and can't face making threads now that the division is lost.
The only question now is how many games over 100 are the Yankees going to win? 23 left and only needing 11 to get to 100.
I'm considering this a positive post! Seriously, I think the Yankees will end ~105, depending how much they choose to rest the starters for the playoffs. What is our lead for best AL record? Home field all the way through is a sweet deal. EDIT: Looks like LAA is closest with 5 back in the L column, 8 in the W.
It's strange when I come to this forum now and the only thread that is active is the Yankee one. The next thread in line right now is the Yankees/Toronto thread. With Mets and Red Sox fans on this board, it's hard to believe that in September it would be so quiet. (And for anyone wondering, I don't mean this as gloating.)
Who was in the crowd at the Yankee game? The camera was focused on him for awhile, I was at the gym and had no audio. Black dude, wearing a Yankee hat...looked like a sports guy? I don't wanna say Marshall, but it looked like him.
sketchy call on the Gaudin double play, and it looked like Crawford beat the pickoff back to first. Yankees 3B is pretty hot these days.
It's TBDF and I mentioned him on the first page. Nice play by Zobrist to finally get out of the 6th. Yankees up 2-0 and Price is done.
