He's probably scheduled for a pen session today. And maybe chill out on the punctuation......................
Well it was a scheduled bullpen session, but Joe changed it up.. It's not necessarily a bad thing if its only an inning of work.
I really hope George and Cashman call Joe tonight and tell him not to bother leaving the stadium with the team.
This team is so pathetic. What a disgrace this weekend...They had better rebound when Wang returns...
I'm as pissed as everybody else. But just acouple things to keep in mind... 1. This happens every single year. The sox win the first series, Sox fans get cocky, and Yanks fans start screaming for changes. But by mid year, things even themselves off, and before ya know it, we're in 1st place w/ a 3 game cushion. 2. We can hit their pitching. Even w/o Jorge and Matsui, their pitching has not shut us down in the least. Once we get our real pitching staff back, and hopefully give our BP alittle more rest, We'll clearly be a better overall baseball team than the sox. It's painful and maddening. But we'll be ok. Let the sox have their moment, how quickly they forget the Boston Massacre from last year, and the many letdowns of years past courtesy of the Yanks.
Honestly, we got totally dominated by a team far better prepared to play at this point in the season. Our pitching is a big problem, and our coach is total asswipe. However, we should not discount that Boston is a legit playoff team, and they are just playing far better than we are at this point.
I'll cut some slack due to Karstens and Wright being STARTERS for the weekend...What I am happy about is them smashing Schilling, hitting Beckett and Dice-K as well... But the defense, starting pitchers injured and bullpen have all been VERY questionable...Not to mention Torre. Boston is good, their pitchers don't scare me at all...It's the Yankees pitching that scares me.
Very good points Kurt. The only thing I would say though, is that calling for Joe's head is something I've been doing for years, and will continue to do until he's gone. I don't, and haven't liked him up to this point. I doubt he could do anything at this point to change my mind. Has anyone been watching him this series? He looks totally disinterested. Even if you have the attitude that it's early, and counting all the injuries, you still don't take divisional games, against your biggest rival, lightly. Joe has. It's disgusting. ------------------ What's the deal with every single bullpen guy pitching every single game? Yet, Mo can't buy regular appearances, no matter how much he says he needs work.
even at full strength,i don't have all that much confidence in out pitching this year. Wang and pettite are about all i trust.
