Because the Mets are not a worthy opponent?

It's got nothing to do with the Mets. Trust me.

EDIT: That doesn't sound the way I mean it to either. The Yankees just suck. The Mets are good.

the Yankees are capable of a hell of a lot more with the players they have.

Gotcha. Just the way I read it, I guess. That, with the attempted discrediting of Ollie P before. (Edit: Not saying by you. I don't remember who.)

nice crisp game tonight, hope the rest of the series goes this way but with the pitching matchups we'll probably end up with at least one slugfest.

ESPN News is apparently unaware that there was a game today. But hell, did you guys hear about Roger Clemens pitching a Single-A game?

By the way, very telling that Heilman wasn't even warming up in the 8th inning tonight. When Willie first took over here he definitely had veteranitis and didn't seem too inclined to change but he does seem to be improving in that area.

Why do you want to sound like a punk Mets fan? Show a little class. So the Yankees are going thru a rough time now. It happens to the best of teams.

You know, that shit is absolutely ridiculous. Now I'm a die hard Yankees fan, and I like seeing Yankees news, and I don't care about seeing the Mets news, but come on. This is ridiculous. At some point, the media is going to have to wake up to just how good the Mets are.

Don't worry bro. You haven't been around to see my recent talks with Mets fans about how your team rocks, and ours is trash.

I don't even mean it as the media slighting the Mets. It would've been the same crap no matter the result of the actual, y'know, important game. It was only a matter of time before ESPN News went down the same shitter that the rest of the family is in.

Yeah, I want to extend a congrats myself. It's time for The Evil Empire to start cutting their share of that ol' humble pie.

And I want to thank you Mets fans for your class and grace in victory. It really makes it worthwhile sticking around here.

Interesting that Willie said in the post game conference that they had Endy bunting for a hit on the first pitch in the AB when he hit the HR. Seems like a pretty odd time for a bunt with Carlos III and the pitcher coming up next.

Well, actually, I meant the general media in terms of slighting the Mets. (Sorry I'm still at work for the 3rd straight double shift in as many days. I'm barely able to type at this point.)

As for ESPN, the entire group of channels is crap at this point. PTI is practically the only show I enjoy anymore on any of them.
