Why must the Yankees lie in their commercials? They have not won the most championships in the history of sports.

They don't consider soccer a sport here. j/k
And besides, with as little as I know about european soccer, wouldn't winning the Spanish championship be like winning the division in baseball? It doesn't stop in Spain, does it?

It does stop in spain then, they won the spanish Championship. But they play in the Champions League against other European Champions and 2 placed teams.

So then that sounds like the the equivelent of the WS in baseball and wouldn't they have had to win that 26 times to compare?

While this was a great win last night (which I actually stayed up to watch!) it was too damned draining on the pen. Today is going to hurt.

I agree. To me, the Spanish Championship sounds like winning a division to get to the playoffs (or a conference in NCAA to get to the tournament). And the Champions league sounds more like a World Series

7 would be ideal. Farnsworth could use the day off. Bruney has to be unavailable. Proctor too. I'm sure Mo can go, but I'd really prefer if he didn't.

We need runs today. A whole bunch nice and early. Allow Pettitte to just throw, and hopefully we can get out of there with only one or two relievers seeing action (Myers/Vizcaino?)

This may be a silly question, but after Rivera retires, do the Yanks retire the #42 twice?
