    I will never understand why you dont just pitcha round the 8 hitter with two outs and just get the pitcher. Why give the team a chance at the run there?

    Never thought I'd ever see the Mets score two runs in a game again, never mind in the same inning! This lineup is such a joke.

    Because then the team has to lead off with the pitcher the following inning, which sucks. And later in the game, if they want to switch pitchers mid-inning, they can't bring the reliever back out there. You make a good point; it kind of depends on the situation and the 8-hitter.
