Is there another Tanny/Rex combo somewhere? You're right though - someone desperate enough might loose their head for a moment. That's funny. My mother had knee surgery last month and I asked her to save her special Tylenol, for the same reason
No. They arent. Thats a media myth. In fa t, Sanchezs actualmproblem as it relates to turnovers is exactly the opposite. His balls are bigger than his brains. He tries to force footballs where they dont belong instead of realizing the play is over.
Well, technically you can but it causes a SOCB abend. But..,the point remains...his biggest problem is ...while hes got a good arm...its not Brett Favre, but he appears to think he is.
You're assuming I'm basing my opinion on media feeds, I'm not. His brain is in question because of idiotic decisions on the field, like throwing into triple coverage for example. And it's not because his oversized balls. If anything, they are smaller than average as evidenced by being scared by a "boo" from a CB. Those are not media induced, just observations from actually watching the games.
That'll probably be the case. Unless Kolb is here or Gerard stays healthy. Then one of those two will get starting job.
The answer to this, no i dont think he will get benched i think he will be the week one starter. I Kolb will end up in Buffalo or Jax, so it will be between Garrard n Sanchez unless we draft another QB,i give Sanchez the leg up in that battle if thats what it comes down to
Get used to the idea. sanchez will be the starting QB, long after Mevi$ is ass raping some other teams salary cap.
for one who prides himself on intelligence u have blinders on when it comes to just about any criticism of sanchez...you sound like u have him confused with aaron rodgers
Outside of Namath it is the one of the very few high draft pick QBs this team has made (Ken O'Brien says hi). Would you rather be Miami that has been drafting 1st & 2nd round QBs for the last decade and gotten nowhere or have 1 and it bust after year 3? The intelligence seems to be lacking while your wearing your green glasses. Sanchez Sucks. That being said, as a Jet fan, you have to be moronic to not want to see Sanchez succeed. First and foremost, if he does succeed in MM's WCO then we have a decent QB again and the OC/system makes all the difference in the players. Secondly, your cap hit. If you have Sanchez - and he's playing well (lets say mid QB levels - 17~14) then you have a QB and you can start focusing on weapons again and not worry about spending draft picks on a QB or cash on FA QBs. Sanchez succeeding in MM's system would be nothing but a huge plus to the entire organization. I don't see it happening and my expectations for Mark are set at clip board holder. But I'm not rooting for him to fail. His rebirth to starting QB status with a decent stats would make all the difference between fielding a competitive team the next 10 years or not.
If the Jets sign Kolb, then the determining factor on whether Sanchez is still on the team will be Garrard's performance and health. If he looks good and stays healthy, then he goes to #2 behind Kolb, and at that point the Jets keep McElroy and cut Sanchez in a pure roster move. McElroy has more upside than Muck, and Garrard is not likely to be on the Jets for two years. In other words, again if Kolb in fact is signed, it will likely be Garrard who determines what happens with Muck.
http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/9064032/woody-johnson-noncommittal-new-york-jets-keep-darrelle-revis " Johnson said the team is "focusing on" Mark Sanchez as its starting quarterback right now and expressed hope that new offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg could make "some changes that will make it easier for Mark." "I don't think we've seen the best of Mark Sanchez," Johnson said." See, I told you, believe me now?
Part of the problem with Woody making statements is you can neither rely on them being accurate, nor just assume he's always lying.
People are amazing "as far as I am concerned" Who the F*** are you and why should anybody be concerned with what you think. Mark in all likely hood will not be cut June 1st. Mark is without question on the hot seat. You don't bring in QB competition if you are satisfied with the way your QB has played. There is really only two ways this plays out Mark steps up and is the Jets' QB for the next ten years or he is cut most likely in 2014 and the Jets are once again searching for their franchise QB. Kolb Gerrard will not be in NY for long as starters. What I do not get is the hate and the wanting for Mark to fail. You all know that the best way for the Jets to rebuild is for Mark to step-up right? My stance is simple Mark thrives under Marty or he is gone and this Franchise is set back another three years. So all you Sanchez haters don't worry he will either be gone as far as playing very early in 2013 or going no where for a long time.
If that's the case then every play is over before it start as he checks down and kills 8 of 10 passes called before the ball is hiked. The other two he seems to have an even chance of throwing it incomplete or having it picked off.
Fozzi, rest assured Im not wesring green glasses, just going by what the tape shows, when im not watching it n the moment, and let me add....that of all the Sanchez detractors, your one of the few to make that rational comment. We already screwed the Gholston pooch. Its i. The organizations best interest for this pick to succeed, and theyve not put the pieces in place for that to happen. If only Schotty was smart enough to get a head coaching gig after the 2nd AFCCG. Who knows how the worm might have turned...
just because its in the organizations best interest does not mean it is so. you are wanting him to succeed. you are not being rational because of your wants. i dont need to want him to suck, he just does it all by himself. i simply point it out to people who continue to want him to succeed.. someone said that as a jet fan you have to want him to succeed. i dont, i want him to go away because i realize he probably will not succeed. and the WORST thing that could happen is for him to play middling and make our idiot owner think maybe just maybe he will succeed and we will waste another 3 to 5 years on this turd.
Mark has made just enough plays with his feet, dodged just enough sacks while swinging the ball around like a loaf of bread, and made just enough truly clutch throws to give hope to the down trodden.
What I meant in my previous post was I really can't tell whether Woody thinks that hyping Sanchez might help the team in getting rid of him. Which is pretty stupid, of course, but that doesn't mean Woody doesn't do stupid things. He does them all the time. Alternatively Woody still does not accept his organization's effort to get a franchise Qb by drafting Sanchez was ill advised and has failed. that is a very real possibility in explaining those quotes. Unfortunately.
