Jealousy? No, it is a question posed since there were a few that kept stating that we would all welcome Br*dy and B*li*ch*ck. I know I wouldn't and the majority here seem to agree. Something tells me cheating doesn't matter to you, that is something that makes Jets fans look bad.
A pansy is someone that looks for the easy way, a pansy does not have a backbone nor conviction. You are a pansy, not those that would rather a Super Bowl win come justly rather than with the help of a cheater. Of note is that just about every poster that would want a known cheater as their QB, they claim that we would all want the same. That shows how weak minded you are, you can't stand alone and need to claim we would all stand with you, you are a very weak man and I use the term man very loosely.
No to Beli he fucked us already... Cant stand him but Tom Shady would win a superbowl on the team we currently have period. Our sick D and Marshall, Decker, Amaro, Kerley and Smith for him... If they cut him (which they won't) I would offer him anything he wants.
Bzzzzt wrong answer. First off Brady would never play for this team, and second if you would want a cheater like that to win you a Super Bowl for your team then you are no better than the horde of dickless rodent Pats fans that will defend to the death every cheating act their team has made over the years
If you were have to started a poll last year that asked if we would want Michael Vick on the team, I guarantee a vast majority would have said no because of the horrible things he's done and the negative media attention that would surround the signing. (Note: killing dogs is often perceived to be a worse offense than deflating footballs). Once he was here you saw threads with words like "great insurance policy" and "good veteran presence". We aren't 'weak minded' for saying we'd all be on board, we're merely using the precedent that opinions are often different in reality than in a hypothetical. The people on this board who support the team do so almost unconditionally. I couldn't see this much of an outrage if Mac signed a QB of this caliber. Would there be people who were still upset with the signing? Yes, as there were with Vick. But would it be over 80% and have a thread admonishing the move THIS much? I have a very hard time believing so given past precedents and the unwavering loyalty to the franchise.
Actually over 53% said yes to Vick so there goes your thought up in smoke http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/do-you-want-michael-vick-wearing-jets-greennwhite.80505/
Not sure why it would necessarily be illegitimate. Are they deceitful bastards? Sure. There's worse people in sports. I hate them because of who they are and because they're on the Patriots. If they were on the Jets, I'd probably be willing to overlook quite a bit. If we won a Super Bowl and had it taken away due to their transgressions, that's a totally different animal. That's NOT what's being proposed here. You've rooted for Jason Taylor, you can root for Tom Brady.
I just wanted that team to win the SB so I could laugh at Dolphin fans for eternity. Can't say I really rooted for that bastard ... I hate Jason Taylor.
Eh, once he was a Jet, he didn't bother me in the least. He was relatively ineffective, but I think fans get much more caught up in this level of hatred than is really necessary. Just my opinion, but Tom Brady didn't kill my dog, so I'd be perfectly okay with having him on the Jets if it would help the team.
JT did have that safety against the Steelers, his contributions were marginal, I agree. I mean, I obviously ain't sending the dude hate mail or something crazy like that, but I can't lie when I say it would irk me to see Brady in a Jets uni. However, if the day came where BB turned on Brady and we got a super-motivated Brady - I would be intrigued ...
^^ i absolutely was against the signings of both Jason Taylor and Vick. seeing each guy in green and white made me a little sick. once they were here, you still root for the team, but i couldn't get myself to root for either individually, and of course neither did shite while here. bad signings. was happy when each guy was promptly dropped. Taylor is the more appropriate comparison to Brady tho. But even then, while Taylor was an antagonist, he at least had some integrity and balls (no pun). so it wasn't too difficult to accept, even if i didn't approve. I'd want no part of Br*dy on this team. He's classless, at the very end of his career, and wouldn't have the benefit of Belichick and systematic cheating over here. rooting for that weasel would feel like selling out, and it would set the team back. not worth it..
Wait, where did my point go? I can link threads too: http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/jets-sign-qb-michael-vick.80526/ If you notice, 46% of the people in that poll said "No." with no strings attached. I implore you to find that significant of an opposition to the move in the signing thread. Before it happened, the site was split about 50-50. Afterwards, it shifted dramatically towards a consensus of approval, indicated by the excitement in that thread. A couple notable quotes include "I guess my preference did not come to fruition, but I welcome any talented QB to the roster." and "Not my preference, but I didn't stop watching the team when we signed Bryan Cox either." The overall opinion was much different when hypothetical than when in reality. I would expect a similar reaction for Brady. Do you know why? Because at the end of the day, we aren't fans of individual players, we're fans of the New York Jets and we'll welcome anyone who we think will help the team have a better chance of winning. Our demand is incredibly elastic. I hate Tom Brady's guts, but if he was wearing Green and White I'd root for him.
