It's not a horrible idea in theory, but it's a horrible idea right now given our already problem laden locker room and the stigma this team has after the Geno incident. Say what you want about it but media relations are a distraction for players. It would cause nothing but large amounts of drama. Not to mention it's too late in the game to make a move for him. If it's March, early April, then yes you most likely would make the move if the price is right. Now? Throwing a quarterback into the fire that is already known for struggling to make reads with a brand new playbook with an older coordinator that I can't imagine is very patient? It's a recipe for disaster.

It's not a real possibility to trade for him as you would have to assume his 16M in guarantees for injury which we don't have and I doubt they will just cut him so the whole idea is moot.
I asked this a page or so back... what is the appeal? He hasn't been good since 2012, he's been hurt since 2012 and he's got a monstrous cap hit next year. Why would anyone want him unless he comes with a first or second round pick, which he won't?
I think but I'm not sure there is a 16m hit for injury but that is not his salary. In any event he will make sure he can't play so he gets paid and that is just another reason not to make a trade.
Yes but his base salary is $16 mil and it becomes guaranteed on the first day of the 2016 season the way I understand it. So why would anyone trade anything of value for someone who either will be cut or has no chance of living up to the money they'd have to pay him next year?
Yes, that's right and why nobody will trade for him. Unlike baseball I don't think the trading team can pay the freight. At least it's not guaranteed except for injury but still nobody would trade for him. http://overthecap.com/player/robert-griffin-iii/1459/
Wait it out. Let the Foreskins decide to cut him... before/during/after the season. and then decide if you want to be the team that tries to recapture his skill set on the cheap. no way in hell would I make a trade for him. especially not right now. But I am not against the idea of acquiring RGIII the player at a cheaper rate down the line with a giant chip on his shoulder and less expectations
If Tanny were still GM I think RG3 would already be a Jet. I don't think Mac wants anything to do with him. _
I'm not sure he's getting big money from anyone. There is nothing about his career that demands it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Jets need a QB that can actually read defenses and make smart decisions and all the throws. RGIII's issues with Gruden are largely because he is incapable of doing just that from play to play so why would the Jets want to trade for him? If he's cut sure pick him up off the scrap heap as a personal protector / punching bag stand in for geNO but not as a QB.
The Skins are not stupid enough to give up on him so soon. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...en-redskins-havent-discussed-letting-rgiii-go
