Just noticed that he has more yards in the past two week than any of our receivers have in the season.
He wouldn't be doing what he's doing now, but has the talent to be that top receiver for years to come. All we would need is a better line, and he would be playing just as well as he is now.
Eh, he's putting up these numbers with Campbell and Weeden, it's not like he currently has Peyton Manning finding him open right now.
LOL @ some of the people earlier in this thread that said he wasnt worth a second round pick. Rarely do you find a guy with that skill set in the second round....
I don't think anybody disputed the valuation based on his skills. I think most of the critics, myself included, decided that bringing a promising young player facing a potential year long suspension onto the team was like asking to get kicked in the teeth. I'm also guessing, and it's just a guess, that the Browns weren't moving Gordon for anything close a 2nd round pick. I think somebody would have taken them up on that offer if it was really out there. I think the Browns were waiting for somebody to blow them away with an offer they couldn't refuse.
I don't think he was ever available. if a team threw up a first rd pick for him I could see it, but otherwise Cleveland wouldn't let him go.
God dammit, I hate this thread. We can never just get a good receiver. Oh but let's trade for Holmes and Edwards. smh
I heard he could've been had for a 7th, damn we should've pulled the trigger, this thread is full of delusional morons
did you see his stats for today? unreal. though just to reiterate - he was NEVER available for trade (and certainly wont be now!)
