first off our 2nd rounder is 36 unless im wrong. im not picking on you

but to draft Max Jean-Gilles at 36 is wishful thinking..........at his size and weight he will be off the board come pick 33.

I'm huge on Jean Gilles but if we wanted to pick him i'd imagine we'd be deciding him or Mangold at pick 29.

im very high on Jean Gilles and Marcus McNeil.

i agree, Jean Gilles will go near the end of R1.

But maybe McNeil lasts until #36.

another option in R2 is Jon Scott, the OG from Texas. he's not rated as high, but he'd be a nice selection to beef up our OL.

    cheers

wow! think about it. If we did that, we could possibly land winston justice (15), gabe watson (22), nick mangold (29), and demeco ryans in the 2nd round

i like this scenario because it immediately improves both lines and gives us another playmaker at LB.

but, is #22 too early for Watson? I'm not sure what his projection is, although I believe it's somewhere near the end of R1.

    cheers

I voted yes and would love this deal to happen but it's all cute conjecture at this point. I haven't looked forward to a draft day like this years for ages and we are in a great slot. I think Mangini will already be exploring all the scenarios when we are on the clock. Lets hope his clock management is better than the coolaide king over in KC.

    Yes

I'd do it because we have so many holes to fill. Extra picks could only help us.

No it wouldn't, we'd have 4 guards and no RT. Also I'd much rather DeAngelo than White.

If we did this, my draft would be:

    15) DeAngelo Williams
    22) Chad Greenway (NFLDC has him going lower)
    29) Mathias Kiawanuka
    35) Eric Winston/Jonathan Scott/Ryan O'Callaghan
3rd) See my sig, Eslinger and Croyle

Greenway and Kiwi would both start at OLB and DE respectively, at least Kiwi would compete with Thomas. Winston would compete with a veteran for starting RT. Eslinger would start at C and Williams would split time with Curtis but be the eventual starter. Getting 5 starters in 3 rounds would be outstanding. I also thought about 15) Greenway 22) Greenway Hali 29) Maroney which would be another good option.

I also think Denver would do this if Mario Williams is there because he'd be perfect for them and they badly need an end, but he'll probably go to the Saints and then Denver wouldn't do it.

We actually pick 3rd in rd 2,not 4th. So it would be pick 35. I agree MJG might be gone before that pick....but im not off by that much.

i agree. that D looks impressive and the OL looks improved. at #15, CB isn't a pressing need, but it'd be hard to pass on a guy like Jimmy Williams, who would pretty much complete our secondary with all the youth we have at CB+DB. we passed on Ed Reed; while Williams probably won't be the player Reed is, he's still the best CB in the draft with awesome speed and size. i still don't think he'll last, as we've seen good CB's go early the past few drafts (i.e. Dunta Robinson, Pac Man Jones, etc).

but just because of Lawson's size, I wouldn't say he can automatically move to OLB. He's a strong, fast (yet small for a 3-4) DE that may succeed as an OLB, but I'm just not sure.

    cheers
