I was trying to find a trade in the NFL that was this lopsided and I could not do it.

The only trade I could come up with that would be comparible was in baseball. It would be like when tampa Bay was offered Kazmir for that bum Zambrano. TB's GM fell out of his chair when he got that call and jumped all over it.

WHich is exactly what the Jet would do if Brady was offered.

(Please note Vilma is a great middle LB but Middle LB is a much easier position to find than QB)

I have to say "No Thanks". Both are very good players but Vilma is a very good player on a not so good team and a weak coaching staff(I'm talking about last year). Brady was a very good player on a very good team with a strong staff(how many of his old assts. are head coaches, now?) Not to mention the players he had around him. This is based on the past years, of coarse, and don't include this years versions of both teams. Brady and Bill have been together for a while. He would struggle for a bit if he came here and he is getting older. Vilma is younger and plays a position where there is a bit more room for error. I'd keep Vilma.

After the loss of Abe, no. And I'm not saying that Abe is the be all and end off of defensive players, but we need to keep our D in tact, and trading one of the best LB in the league would not do it. Vilma led the league last year in tackles (at least 3/4 of the way through the season). As much as our QB situation is up in the air right now, I truely believe once the dust settles and we establish a starter, we'll be fine.

uh, cause we want to win a SB.. and your chances are greater when you have the best Qb in the game on your team..

Brady is a much more valuable player than Vilma, so from that standpoint it's a no-brainer...that being said I wouldn't do it because it would not automatically mean we'd win a Superbowl and I could never bring myself to root for that d***head.

Vilma is a monster. Defense is better than offense. Brady's a fishmonger(Didn't see that insult coming, did ya?). No deal.

hell no forget that shit... vilma is the face of our franchise and the only thing we've got going well for us... defensive rookie of the year and then pro bowler in sophomore season? he's only going to get better and he will be viewed as ray lewis was in his prime. plus i hate tom brady... peyton manning? thats a different story.

I hate Brady too much to do that.

And I love Vilma too much.

but to someone with no feelings you would HAVE to do it.

I'm not sure abouit Starr but he's MUCH better than the 2 stat QBs Young and Fouts. Young was handed the keys to a dynasty and won just 1 SB thanks to the Jerry Jones-Jimmy Johnson split while Brady took over a team in disarray and led them to 3 SBs in 4 years and he's far from done.

No offense to the person who started this thread but this is just a silly question. Brady is the bst QB in the league and still young- I would want Brady over ANY other player in the league meaning if I had Manning or Tomlinson or another great player I'd trade them for Brady and as good as Vilma is he's not a top player and will never have the impact that Brady has had.

In 2000 the Pats were 5-11, in '02 they started 0-2 before Brady came in. if you think it's all Belichick you are mistaken. A better argument can be made this run has been more Brady than Belichick as BB failed in Cle w/o Brady then was 5-11 w/o him his 1st yr in NE and started 0-2 w/o him in '01 before he came in and led them on a SB run.

As far as talent around him, he hasn't had much on O. He's had excellent Ds but offensively he hasnever had a great WR and had 1 year w/ a very good RB and every year they had multiple injuries around him but he kept producing. He is by far the best QB in the game today.

he is a forgotten man, he was our best defensive player in 2004 and no one talks about him anymore after he wa shurt most of last year.

So do I. I understand hatred for him b/c he has won so much w/ a div rival but to call him overrated is absurd.
