If they lose that game, BuffaloPhysco will find a way to avoid sticking his head up a horse's ass. We should do whatever is necessary to make sure that head gets lodged.
It would be ironic, if a QB by the name of Andrew Luck was selected first by a team as a result of the Jets intentionally tanking their last regular season game. There I used it in a sentence. Can I have a fuckin' cookie?
Its a home game and that people are paying big chunks of money to get a home game so they want to see the best at least play a good portion of the game. If we just started pure backups throughout, the backlash the Jets would get would be enormous. Also while the Bills may get the 1st overall pick, that also means they are on hook for a pretty big deal(Unless the rookie salary cap can really be monmuental), especially if they grab a QB.
No, it really wouldn't be. I repeat, you clearly don't understand irony. It's fine; most people have a flawed understanding of it.
All I can think of would be the irony of the situation if Buffalo somehow DIDN'T get the top pick because they accidentally won the game. The most famous case of this is the 1968 Eagles winning their final game (The Santa Claus game), causing them to only get the #3 pick instead of the #1 pick in the draft, who turned out to be OJ Simpson.
That's a funny idea, but it would still be a horrible game to watch. I'd only watch the game because I love the NFL draft, but something like Bills vs. Panthers......ugggggh
if we have the 1 seed locked up then i would rest the starters to prevent injury. if we are 14-1 at that point and we have the 1 seed i'd rest the starters and could care less
I'd just play backups and see what happens. If we lose then so what? If we win then whatever, they will probably fuck up and draft Locker. I think it's a legitimate question though.
I would never lose on purpose, but your post brings out something I've been bitching about for years ... why should any team be rewarded for sucking? The NFL really needs to rethink the draft order. Its BS that the team with the worst record gets the first pick. I like the Mike Greenberg suggestion where the team with the best record that misses the playoffs drafts first, then the team with the second best record that misses the playoffs drafts second ... and so on ... so in your scenario the Bills would draft #20 unless they get their asses in gear and start winning some games.
