No......no disrespect to CM but he doesnt have the academic experience to succeed. go get that and we'll talk. many of these GM's have legal or accounting degrees to go along with loads of experience in the offices.
He was given a blank check to build the franchise. He then blew it by trading away draft picks and wasting money on overpriced vets. Just like Bowles, he deserves a second chance, but if he doesn't improve, he needs to go.
I don't see what qualifies Curtis Martin as a football expert. Peyton Manning is a guy that I think could succeed in the front office.
you guys realize that curtis martin doesnt watch football, never really did and only used football as a stepping stone to other things he wanted to do in his life? he is about the last guy you would want to hire as your gm. then again it appears as though nobody who posted on the first page has even managed to watch anything on curtis martin and has no idea who the guy really is or what his interests are.
He has expressed interest in ownership though, not sure if that means he's interested in football. Might be a business thing. But there's that. I agree he's not a GM candidate in any way.
As far as I remember and I could be wrong, but he mentioned only playing football in his Hall of Fame speech because he was good at it and it was an outlet to create a better life for his family and in particular his abused mother.
yes, and he went further to say in something I saw htat he didn't watch and doesn't watch football. it isn't interesting to him.
Yes I absolutely would. Nothing could possibly be as bad as Mac. Adding CM would be a major addition that would give fans hope. They don't have any hope right now and Mac saw to that.
