exactly. claiming bye week is just arbitrary and a rationalization for Mangini's stubborness that is costing this team.

even if there was some big plan to wait until the bye week, if Mangini feels that Clemens can benefit his team then, why can't he do so now? why wait until the season is essentially shot to give the Jets a better chance to win instead of putting him in and giving the Jets a better chance and maybe actually having a successful season. otherwise, you have a coach that is purposely creating a losing season, and who really wants a coach who is willing to lose?

So Mangini is waiting, playing a QB thats clearly not getting it done week after week, just because he wants an extra week to put in a new offense for his back-up QB? Makes sense, I mean why let a little thing like losing get in the way of the master plan right?

Mangini will ride Chad weak-ass coat tails right out of town. There is absolutly no freakin reason to keep Chad in there unless you are not going to be here next season.
Please don't baby KC into the game. Throw him the freak in there and let him get his lumps. We don't need another crystal QB.

You can tell by his whole demeanor in his presser, that he doesn't buy into what the CS is preaching...

And why would he? They're predictable, conservative, and unlikable....

got to be a miserable bunch to work with, especially when you're a stud like he is

Thomas Jones, sounding pissed off, about the 4th and 1: I don't call the plays, no, no, I don't call the plays

Mangini's no-nonsense approach only works if the team wins.

When the ship is sinking, look out. At least Herm still had his players when they were slumping. Belichick hasn't had to deal with anything like this, so I don't think Mangini is particularly prepared for it.

It's my opinion that Clemens development is much more important than this season. Clemens development is the basis of what this team will be for the next 5 to 7 years. If it's not handled right this franchise will never move forward. As much as I have complained about Pennington for the last few years, and as much as I would like to see the Clemens era begin, I have no problem with the coaches having a plan and sticking to it when it comes to his development.

My expectations for this season was it would be a lossing season even with the great job that the HC did last year. Why would I knock the HC for lossing with a team full of holes and a veteran QB who's arm is shot as long as the effort was there?

The season is over...just put Clemens in and settle for a top 5 pick.

Even Ray Lucas is on the KC bandwagon

The main reason I want to see KC is to see what we have. I'm not ready to anoint him the next coming just yet and we're gonna have a very good pick in the next draft. There are several very good QB options in the draft and we need to know what we have with KC. If he completely craps the bed, then we can pick a QB.

this is what I have been saying. you run your players ragged, you better win. but if the players stop believing in you, not only are they not going to want to stay, but you aren't going to get quality players to come in to replace them.

this team is screwed under Mangini. I guarantee if Mangini is here next year we have hold outs in training camp. I hope Tannenbaum is willing to dump his players in order to maintain his friendship. he problem is, that doesn't help the team at all.

Bellichek went 5 & 11 his first year with NE and didn't lose anyone. He was 0 & 2 in his second season and didn't have to make a decision about the QB, it was made for him.

I just don't get it...this team is obviously going nowhere with Pennington, Clemens can't be any worse...how can you just not TRY IT? If it fails we'll still end up with a high pick and can know that we need a QB. Now we'll have a high pick anyway but without knowing if Clemens can be the future. Ugh!!!
