If by emergency, you mean Pennington, Clemens, Ramsey, Brad Smith, Joe Namath, Ray Lucas, Ken O'Brien, and Leon Johnson are all hurt, then yes, Vinny can play.

Pats-Hater has it right. Give him a one day contract and let him retire like we did with Marvin Jones, Mo Lewis, Richie Anderson, and Victor Green.

Screw him, I hope to see him in the game, that would mean we are ahead 45-zip in the 2nd quarter. Allentown Ernie.

I wouldn't mind seeing Vinny in a Jets uniform again. You're all going to kill me for saying this, but I'd give him the emergency 3rd string backup job in a heartbeat.

No, will never happen. This group of Jets coaches are all about player development and we will have a guy whos developing in that 3rd qb roll. BB brought him in late has he fell short of players.

His last good season was in 1998. And you want him on the team in 2007???? As for retiring a Jet, he had the chance but went over to the dark side instead to make more $$$$ and throw a TD pass in one more season. Enough is enough already. I don't understand the fascination with such a mediocre QB who had one excellent season and many other fair to poor ones.

    We need Vinny.
I am all for signing him next year,. With our offensive line, Vinny would be deadly. He would have all day to throw.

You're kidding, right? Why not bring back Marvin Jones, Curtis Martin, Kevin Mawae, and Wayne Chrebet too? And I thought we were over the "greybeard syndrome" when Herm left and Dumbway was demoted.

No, dummy. He went over to the "dark side" to try and win a Ring(something I doubt the Jets are capable of doing this year). $$$$$ has nothing to do with it. The man has already set his Kids up for life....

Funny thing is, he'd probably talk himself into a 1-year deal or sign with another team.

We aren't carrying 3 qb's next year ramsey gets cut and brad smith will be are #3 qb. It means more depth at another position

That's the funniest thing. A 40+-year-old QB with accuracy that has been failing for years went to a team with a bunch of teenagers playing wideout. IRONY!

    Vinny? - No NO NO!

I would be highly surprised if Clemens wasnt the #2 all Year next year and Ramsey wasn't released

Brady gets knocked out early and Vinny comes in for him. A lock for a Jets victory

Actually, sure why not. Next year Chad and Kellen will be competing for the start and Ramsey will be cut. Whoever wins between Chad and Kellen the other will be #2. Let Vinny be #3, probably the best 3rd stringer in football.
