This may be Kevin Kolb based bias, but I don't think Flynn will be worth the price outside of Green Bay's system. Flynn certainly earned himself a ton of money this past weekend when he threw for 6 touchdowns and what seemed like 1,000 yards, but I think it's 75% system and 25% Flynn. Flynn knows that offense really well after spending years in it and was able to step in and execute every brilliant page of the playbook. If a team like the Chiefs hired Joe Phillbin (Green Bay's offensive coordinator for the last several years), then it would make a ton of sense for them to trade for Flynn. He'd then have Bowe, Breaston, Baldwin in that offensive system and Charles out of the backfield. As for our Jets, it doesn't make sense unless the Jets could somehow convince Phillbin to make a lateral move to the Jets and remain an offensive coordinator (perhaps if they win the Superbowl again this year he would be open to a new challenge?). You could debate this all day long -- if trading a 1st round pick for Flynn is worth it for the Jets -- even if they got Phillbin. The Jets have a ton of needs and Flynn is not a cure-all, but at the same time the Packers and Patriots have shown that an almighty offense is more than enough to make up for a flawed defense. You'd have Santonio Holmes in the Greg Jennings role, Dustin Keller in the Jermichael Finley role, Jeremy Kerley in the Randall Cobb/James Jones slot WR roles, and maybe a free agent signing like Robert Meachem (very underrated WR, 1st round pedigree) in the Jordy Nelson role. Now that offense would be very dangerous assuming Flynn was still operating in GB's system. Sorry this was long winded, I debated this with my friend who works at ESPN Radio for about 2 hours today haha. I just don't think Flynn will be worth the price if he doesn't come with Phillbin or some offensive assistant from Green Bay who can implement the Packer offensive system.
