No but they should have,4 other 10-6 teams made the playoffs as well as two 9-7 teams.Normally 10-6 is usally good enough except when the Jets go 10-6.Fitz wasn't the reason we missed the playoffs,Losing to shit teams like the Eagles,Texans and Bills was part of it,I blame Bowles not Fitzpatrick. We didn't look prepared on the road most of the time we came out flat alot

Jets fans are just unreal,Everyone has been complaining about shit Qb play from the likes of Geno,Sanchez,Mclroy and whoever else has been under center the last 6 years. We finally get competent play and a good offense and Jets fans are making reasons why we shouldn't bring back Fitzpatrick.I'm really hoping Geno starts this year and Fitz goes somewhere else,Jets fans don't deserve a decent QB.You deserve Geno as your starter and nothing more

Not sure if Kaep or RG3 would be the worst case scenario. It could be a lot worse if the Jets moved up in the draft to get Wentz or Goff and pick turned out to be injury prone and/or bad. That being said, I'm fairly confident that Mac wouldn't do that.

A more likely worst case scenario would be Petty starting, being not ready, playing poorly, and getting benched for Smith. Who also doesn't show any growth. That seems to be a more likely bad outcome.

But I don't expect it to go down like either scenario.

The Geno haters keep wanting to blame everybody but Fitz. That facts are this... Bowles put the Jets in a position to make the playoffs but Fitz blew it when he was picked off in endzone against the Bills. To be honest if the Jets cut Geno right now I still wouldn't want Fitz as the starting QB for the Jets. He done nothing in the NFL. I would rather have RG3 then Fitz.

Fair point given his history of a good year a bad year.

However, if the org thinks he won't produce like last year ...why pursue him at all?

He has a supporting cast of backs, receivers and defense he didn't have in the past and this is the thinking if i am not mistaken

Special teams was the reason we missed the playoffs, not QB play.

Gaily is a real find imo but even he can only work with a QB with at least average intelligence smh

Fitz was decent in Tenn and Houston without Gailey. He throws picks, but those typically happen when he tries to make Aaron Rodgers throws without an Aaron Rodgers arm. They're typically between the numbers and on downfield throws, so the damage isn't that bad. He's nothing special but he's the best option unless you think Chan can get Kaep or RG3 back to where they were.

No, it was specifically special teams' fault. Top 10 offense, including top 13 passing and #1 red zone. Top 5 defense. Bottom 5 special teams. Pretty straightforward.

You call 14 TD's and 12ints decent in Tenn? In 11 games.

It's gonna be hard for me to be excited about this season if we trade for Josh McCown

If Kaep is not traded then Denver pursues Fitz and maybe he gets his payday. Cant see the Broncos content going from the Sheriff to Taco Boy. He tells his wife they are closer to Arizona where he grew up. Fitz could poss go to Cleve as well.

Next week is about April 1st when Niners have to decide on Kaepernick so we will know more.

I don't think Fitzsexton cares about the Jets at all. He is ending his career and its all about money sorry to say.

    This royally sux

Interesting fit. I think he gives them a face to the franchise for now, but not sure this will make the Browns good. In fact. they could be terrible.

The TD/INT ratio doesn't tell the whole story. With Tenn, Fitz was 23 in passer rating, 16 in total QBR, and 21 in DYAR on a crappy team. Not good by any means but not replacement level either.

The RGIII deal SHOULD accelerate something with Fitz now. We will see.
