This is the collected works of MParty's airport story. Not sure I've seen it all put together but I didn't go back through every page. It's like a Choose Your Own Poorly-Worded Adventure. Yesterday, on Saturday I had the worse day at the airport ever..... I was flying United Airlines-I was going to Jacksonville, from JFK to DC-Dulles then from DC to JAX My flight from JFK to DC was suppose to take off at 10:20 while my flight from DC to JAX was suppose to take off at 12:20 My first flight was delayed and we didnt take off till about 11:30, anyone who has ever done it, knows it takes about 45 minutes to go from JFK to DC.....im sure you can see the problem that is comming out.....more to follow later ok, so I get into DC at about 12:30, the gate me connected flight was at was right across the way, no plane there or anything, so I assumed I missed it. I go to customer serivce and tell them the story so they give me 3 tickets(me, my brother, my sister) for the 4:36 flight to j-ville, ok not terrible...i can deal with that IMportant note:the guy who helped me told me I missed it at about 2 PM an announcment comes on....the 12:20 flight to j-ville never took off, it left the gate and came back due to a mechanical problem...so im like no way! i can get back on that one and leave 2 hours earlier So I go to customer service and they tell me its immpossible to put me back on my original flight cuz they deboarded us. I started screaming at the person....what???? you told me i missed it, and now you wont let me back on? you have got to be kidding me (some other words thrown in here and there) They are like nope can do it....w/e I walk away....10 minutes later an announcment comes on, if you made other arrangments you can cancel those and come back to this flight...im like forget it, i can deal with it...I'll just stay at the 4:35 flight........more to come later
"Just saw this. In case anyone was wondering, I did make it safely to my destination on that fateful day. Now you all case sleep well tonigth." True enough that he didn't exactly divulge. Who picked them up? Perhaps . . .
If I was getting buried when I kick the pail, I definitely would've have had someone put "I CANCELED THE ENDING" on my tombstone. Think about it. Hahahaha.
Honest question because I don't fly much. Spent 10 hours in JFK because a delay missed my connecting flight and the subsequent ones were cancelled there after. Am I able to leave and return to smoke when waiting for 10 hours? Or must I stay inside the concord when I have passed through security?
In 2000 I had a layover in Tokyo, and inside the terminal they had a smoking area. It looked like a huge penalty box and all the smokers were jammed in there elbow-to-elbow puffing away, underneath an exhaust system that could have come from an industrial paint booth.
A few month's ago my wife and I were flying SF-Chi. We both stopped in to use the restrooms at ORD just before going through security exit point. As we're walking toward the luggage carousels, my wife suddenly realizes she left her bag in the restroom. So there she was, no bag, no phone, no ticket; in fact nothing to identify who she is, on the wrong side of the security check point. We decided to split up, me getting the luggage and she trying to get back through security with no ID. Fortunately, she was able to stop a TSA agent and explain the problem. He was very understanding and told her he would personally escort her through security to get her bag. When they arrived at the check point however, the agents working at the gate said no, he couldn't escort her through. He argued with them saying yes, he was allowed to escort an individual through. While they were waiting for a supervisor to settle argument, another agent came by with my wife's bag. Apparently someone had just turned it in. Big sighs of relief all around. My wife said it was good karma because she remembered, about a year ago, she found a bag in the restroom in the same airport and turned it in.
I was flying from Tampa to Denver a few months back, flight was on time, didn't lose my bags, but the bar didn't open until 8am and my flight was at 7:45, worse day at the airport ever
Woman at Chicago O'Hare found dead in baggage conveyor belt. Probably homeless and crazy, but it was probably her worse day at the airport ever. https://abc7chicago.com/post/woman-...inal-5-chicago-fire-department-says/15159592/
MParty would have scoffed at their weak offer of a baggage conveyor belt and told those slackers to throw him in a dumpster.
Lars Mittank, worse day at the Varna Airport ever. That is some crazy ass story. Obviously a mental breakdown and a freak out, but we'll never know because he bolted into the woods and canceled the ending.
