One thing that really makes me sad about the Giants, is after they blew it on the Zito deal, they will most likely never bestow another huge deal like that another guy. Lee is the perfect guy to blow the bank on, like Sabathia was. Proven in both leagues that they can dominate. Unlike Zito, who didn't have a great year his last in the AL.

they'll do huge deals, but it could take awhile. they won't be signing Lee because of the Zito albatross and because they have a very good rotation to begin with. The money they gave to Zito was ridiculous, because it was too much money for an elite starter to begin with, and Zito wasn't consistently elite. He had that one great Cy Young season, but otherwise didn't consistently dominate.
Oh I never expected them to even check in on Lee. But I was simply stating my displeasure because of guys like him who we won't make big offers to. CC in '08 is an example that is perfect. Proven dominant in both leagues, WANTED TO COME HERE, but SF was too chicken shit to up their offer. I remember reading that if SF had gone up to $125 or so, CC would be in the bay right now. funny thing about the $126 million man is that this was probably his best season as a Giant and he still is left off the postseason roster. nah they're exclusive to FOX. Although I'm surprised there are other teams of English TV announcers at the ballpark. I don't even know who the ESPN America announcers are.

MLB International will again be broadcasting a feed for the ALCS and the World Series, so we should be getting Fox feeds throughout the NLCS. If the World Series is simulcast on ESPN UK again I imagine it will probably be MLB Int feeds for that. One minor difference is that this year Gary Thorne will be calling alongside Rick Suttcliffe.
