All things considered, it will take a considerable offer to land Cutler

2 number 1s?? Oh man, I really hope not. I know Cutler has a lot of the right tools, but I think this guy is going to end up as a distraction wherever he goes. I hope the Jets steer clear.

Would you give up a 1st rounder (Vernon Gholston), 3rd (Tony Stargell, 1990), and 5th (Eric Coleman, 2004) for Jay Cutler?

    I say yeah, sure.

I would be thrilled if we land Cutler espically with how is contract is laid out but I don't want to give up more then this years 1st and next years 1st and 3rd. I would offer 17 this year and a player on d thats expendable like thomas

I would never give up two #1s. I would rather take my chances in the draft with those two picks or look for a solid QB in the FA, but will never ever give up two firsts...

So you're willing to give up a 2009 first, and 2010 first and third?

The sad part is we beat Tampa to the punch with Favre last season and i feel like they're going to beat us out with Cutler. Just my opinion but i hope to GOD i'm wrong.

Cutler has to agree to the trade....the Broncos aren't going to trade him to a team that he doesn't sign off on.

If you look at the Bucs. They too have a rookie head coach...they've purged some of their veterans from last season. It would seem they are in a rebuilding mode to some extent. Would Cutler want to put himself in that type of situation?

I may sound bias...but i believe the Jets are in a better shape than the Bucs...our oline is much better. Rex is molding the defense into his own image (not physically of course)....our rungame is solid......AND...we have a good history with Bus Cook.

Yes but you can also say would you give up a mid-first rounder (Darrelle Revis, 2007), a third (Laverneus Coles, 2000), etc. for Jay Cutler?

Tanny In contact with Denver ?

I'm a firm believer in ' no smoke without fire '. It looks like the Jets will make a serious offer........

Why would Culter have to agree to a trade? Does he have a no trade clause in his contract? If not, he has no say. Obviously a team would be unlikely to trade for him in he didn't want to go there, but I doubt he has any say. Plus, to shoot off your mouth for a trade, get one, and then refuse to go to that team would make him look even worse than he looks now.

Personally, I'd love to the set Jets get Cutler. But I don't think they should give up more than say a first this year, and a second and third next year. The Broncos are losing leverage each day. I think it would be a mistake for the Jets to do anything that involved two firsts. But a first, second, and third spread over two years wouldn't be bad. Then draft a HB and WR in the second and third rounds and things are looking good.
