I don't see you beating the Steelers but I am not convinced the Bears are as good as advertised. The Jets should pound the rock down the Bills throat so you have at least a 1-1 record, the deciding game will be the Bears. Win you're in. Lose and it will be tiebreak scenario's.

Face it guys, your defense is not nearly as good as last years version and the loss of Leonhard made it that much worse. Keep in mind that only giving up 10 to the Phins is not a reflection of a good defense. The Phins offense is as bad as I can remember ever seeing it in my 40 years as a fan and it starts with Henne and the OC.

To answer the question, as much as I dislike the Jets, I have to admit I think you make the playoffs but may be a 1 and done.

I don't see the Jets losing to JAX or KC if they make the playoffs.

Both those teams will need to throw the ball and the Jets match up very well with their offenses.

The Jets won't beat the Pats in the divisionals. That'll be the biggest upset since 07

    I disagree.

Objectively, we have a much better chance of making the playoffs than not making it, if you examine the standings and tiebreakers.

I'd be glad to bet anyone who feels strongly that the Jets won't make the playoffs.

Garrard is having a good season and their defense is playing better then they have in several years. Hosting a home play off game may be enough to get them over the top.

No question the Jets are more talented, but sometimes the right chemistry can beat that talent.

If you believe the jets defense has been "exposed" after that miami game you are surely mistaken

This. I disagree with you on the Jax defense though...they are middle-to-bottom of the pack, and the Raider game showed that. But the Raider game also showed their ability to not only comeback from a double-digit deficit, but score quickly.
However, they are well-coached and rarely commit penalties or costly turnovers.
They have the #2 rushing attack in the league and the current leading rusher overall (MJD). Their passing attack is not much, but Sims-Walker, Thomas, and Lewis are all physical mismatches for most defenses. The wildcard is Garrard.

    Don't sleep on the Jaguars.

As for KC, if Cassel returns to from post-op, then they will be tough as well. Who wants to play at Arrowhead in January? FUCK THAT.

I voted yes because I think we pull out 1 of the next 2 and definitely get rolling again the last game of the year against the Bills. Personally I'd rather not have the added pressure of being the 1 seed because it seems as though at this moment Sanchez is playing poorly in the big games THIS year.

I love the guy more than anyone, I promise you that, but with the way it's looking I wouldn't mind playing on the road, possibly in a dome as well. I think everything will work out, and in 3 weeks we will be over worrying about these losses, and thankful we are 1 of the top 12 teams in the league and get to watch meaningful playoff football.

I stopped at defense. 131 total yards is damn good.

They had a breakdown vs the Pats which I attribute mostly to adjusting to life without Leonhard.

Our defense allowed quadruple the amount of yards vs you the first game.

We can beat anyone in the league when we're clicking. So far Pats have 2 losses and one is against us.

The Steelers/Ravens game was very similar to our Ravens game so I expect a tight game unless Mark comes out on fire, which he is due.

I don't think we will make the playoffs but that's just because my very negative view of the Jets has reappeared over the last two weeks

According to this - http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL.html we have a very good chance of making the playoffs even now.

edit: mind you this would only be as a wild card and history has shown that wildcards do not (except very rarely) win the SB - our team has really blown it this year.

    I voted Yes.

The simple fact is this: The team as a whole has been pimp slapped into reality. They know their schedule is very difficult and when the rubber hits the road, good teams gel. The Jets are a good team. They will pull it together. They will win the next 3 games.(and probably by a very good margin).

Unfortunately though, The Pats pretty much own the AFC in its entirety and no matter how well the Jets do these last few weeks, I do not see them on the same level of the Pats. Maybe it is because I am a Pats fan, but I also try to be a realist.

Your season is not done yet. Good Luck Jets fans.

Only the foolish would chalk Buffalo up as an automatic "W" right now. Keep in mind that this team barely beat the other bottom feeders, Cleveland and Detroit, and that's when the offense was actually clicking.

Actually the only game we clicked in all season was the buffalo game..the only complete game we played.

The Jets just lost to the Dolphins at home...I wont feel the least bit confident if we have to go to KC for a playoff game. And...MO Jones ripped our asses apart last year when our D was better than it is this year.

We'll probably make it but this team is not Superbowl ready...period. The biggest reason I say this is the pass rush...even though its been repeated over and over again...if you cant get pressure with 4 guys when you play elite QBs you're gonna be fucked.

I voted No in hopes that I'll be pleasantly surprised. At this point, I don't know if we can beat the Bears and Steelers, so I think we're looking at 10 wins this season.

Yup, and we have 2 tough road games and what should be a victory week 17. Baltimore has NO at home, then @Cle and vs. Cin. It'd be tough for us to leap frog them without winning out. Same with Pittsburgh. They have us then vs.Car and @Cle.

At this point, I'd say if we make it it's as the 6 seed which means a divisional round visit to N.E if we make it that far. Wonderful.

I voted YES just because I'm a jet fan and I'm worried about the next two games that we have to play on the road! I hope we can at least win one out of those two road games and then beat the bills at out own home so that we can make it to the playoffs! However, by looking at how our offense performs, I'm not sure if we can win 1 game for the remaining 3 games. Sanchez has got to fking wake up and smell the football!

We're 5-1 on the road, about to be 6-1.

I think if we were playing this game week 5 many would have us winning. That team is still here, they just have to showup which I think they will.
