I doubt it but I really don't see why not either....he obviously has NO answers at all. That is his job, right, to come up with answers ? Hire Westhoff, he'll straighten this shit out. He should have got a shot a long, long time ago.

100% yes. Goodbye Mr. Footjob, thanks for 2 cool post season runs and 4 of the must unwatchable football seasons in football. If you are ever hired as the HEAD COACH of a football team again, do yourself a favor and learn some of the other phases of the game OFFENSE & SPECIAL TEAMS. Defensively you were "good" after that "not good".

Mangini did not survive his 3rd season after losing 4 straight games, to fall out of playoff contention.

While Rex should be fired after 4 years of not making the playoffs and a possible 2-14 season, Woody will not fire him during the season he will wait until the end of the season.

Mangini also never won a playoff game and couldn't win the division despite a creampuff sched, Brett Favre as his QB and no Tom Brady.

2008 may have been some of the worst coaching / game planning I have ever seen

He'd won a playoff game if they gave him another year. Rex won with the players HE developed.

He wasn't "show-biz" enough for Woody though like Rex is that's why he's gotten multiple second chances. And look where we are now because of it. Missing the playoffs on the last day of the season sucks majorly but is better than missing the playoffs in October and losing 8 straight and counting under Rex.

The reverse of the bold could actually happen. Guys see the coach gets fired and realize that they could be next.

I don't know about that on the NFL level. If they haven't figured that out already, then their agents have.

But their agents don't suit up.

Big problem with Rex now is that he lacks discipline, his team is committing so many stupid penalties the past 2 years. We literally have guys who are not focused as they once were during fat & fiery Rex years

so Rex won w/ players Mangini couldn't win with? Mangini had a HOFer at QB, a weaker sched and no Tom Brady to del w/ in 2008 and couldn't even make the playoffs let alone win playoff games.

Woody is about winning not "show-biz". showbiz doesn't wok if you don't win.

it's also interesting that he developed Revis yet Revis had his best years under Rex, he developed Woody, Faneca- Brick was struggling until those guys showed up, I guess he developed Braylon? Cotch? Coles? Jones? Bart Scott? Jim Leonhard? Calvin Pace? who else did the great Mangini develop?

I'm not going to get into those players specifically but I can count on one hand and still have fingers left the players on the roster now that Rex has developed.

he helped turn Revis into the best player we have ever had. that's all we really need to know. in 3 years w/ talent on the roster Mangini didn't win a playoff game. I think Mangini could be a great coach but he was stuck w/ the stupid BB imitation instead of being himself and it cost him. the players played much better under Rex than Mangini, that cannot be denied. It's not even debatable.

Woody is about winning & or WITH show-biz. All things considered he'd rather win but if he can do it while making headlines he will.

That's why Rex has gotten second chances he didn't deserve. He will get fired this year because the doors have completely fallen off but if he was a quiet tactician with the same results he would've been fired after 2012's disaster.

you don't get the headlines you need w/o winning.

Rex did a masterful job the last 2 years, it's a shame the average fan cannot understand that.
