I think the Pats are most probable imo However I could see the Ravens taking him back. They lost Zbikowski to the Colts, And Reed is pretty injury prone at this point in his career. The Colts obviously makes sense too since thier safety situation isnt exactly good It would certainly make sense
Yeah, and Braylon probably can't even get a piece of paper that says he's actually healthy...seeing as nobody wants anything to do with him even at a massive discount. Meanwhile you want to waste those scarce resources on one of our deepest units while passing over a legitimate option on our unit of greatest immediate need. But yeah...rookie production is a big mystery.
LMAO! Did you really just say WR is one of their deepest units? You have one (1) proven WR and a bunch of unknowns. Since when is that considered deep?
I didn't realize Kerley was still an unknown after performing like a solid veteran in his rookie season. Fuck; if that's an unknown, what are you calling half the guys BB has drafted lately? Corpses? I didn't realize that the 3rd rated WR from the most stocked draft class in recent memory was a big unknown either. Makes sense though since his measurable's can only be compared to Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson...in the history of the NFL. What a big question mark. Will he be as good as them? Or just better than any receiver on your team? The suspense is triggering my angina. Keller. Hayden Smith. Five other projects. What a fucking nightmare for the Jets. Almost no targets at all. Tom Brady just called. Said he needs your tongue for something. Better run along.
yeah im gonna have to agree with the Pats fan on this one. We arent deep @ WR at all . I mean Holmes was a headcase last year, and although talented has his own question marks. Kerley only has 300 nfl receiving yards (although the guy is without a doubt certainly promising) Schilens has mediocre potential, although far more realistically is an absolute nobody. And then we drafted a guy who has very very few receptions in his career. ultra elite potential, but is the furthest thing from a sure thing. Are our WRs better than last year ? absofuckinglutely But I dont expect our receiving corp to be in the top 15, probably not even top 20 next year. The long term potential is there, but thats really about it.
I think we easily will have a top 15 WR corps next year, but it's not really the point. Kerley and Hill are both extremely likely to be long term answers. We know Santonio is good for several more years of top notch production. I put no stock into last year's blowup. As long as the offense isn't a giant piece of shit again, (which it can't be) he'll be fine. Beyond that, Schilens is a project. Draft pick. Developmental TE's. Glorified (but effective) WR in Keller. Good chance Braylon will be available as a doomsday saver if necessary. There is simply no way that we won't have enough effective targets for Sanchez next year. In case you guys haven't figured it out yet...when Tanny trades up he gets his man. Sorry if reality is hard to take.
The last place I want to see Leonhard go is the Pats. Last thing we need is them getting their hands on our defensive playbook. It can't hurt to have extra safeties, especially if we plan to run 3 safety sets to defend against teams like the Pats. I'd rather have a Vet that can at the very least teach the young guys and give us ridiculous depth.
Look, I'm not looking to come on here and bash Kerley, he had a promising rookie year and could be a good player for them. But, catching 29 balls does NOT prove he can be a consistent contributor. As for Hill, you have to deal with the reality that he is an unknown commodity, and please stop embarrassing yourself by comparing him to two of the most dominant WRs in NFL history. WR is one of the biggest holes on the team
If i had to guess i would say Dallas makes the most sense for Leonhard. They need someone other than Pool or Sensabaugh to run their secondary.
I doubt any team will sign him right now. Maybe when bodies start dropping in training camp, some team will reach out to him. If his health checks out, I think the Jets should sign him to a 1-year deal.
That was before last year. That doesn't really address whether he's healthy enough to play this year. I honestly forgot where he even went last year.
