im done with playoff scenarios. right now if the jets take care of their shit they make the playoffs. they dont need anyones help but their own. this team wont need anyone to lose in week 17 for them to make it. they will make the playoffs because they played at a high enough level to deserve it. 3-3 is unacceptable for this team to finish the season and i think they know that.

I think 11 wins will be needed to make it.

I know you're joking, but I doubt Favre's consecutive start streak is in jeopardy even if we seal up the division before that game. The Giants showed everyone last year that it pays to play to the end.

I'm inclined to say that I don't really care if they make or don't make the playoffs at 10-6, because if they finish 3-3 that means it probably won't matter. Way back in the preseason prediction thread I said the key to this team going anywhere is not so much dependent on getting impressive wins in the first half of the season, but just getting through that & in the last half putting all the new pieces they added together. I'm gonna stick by that. If they go 3-3 now I'll expect they'll likely fold quickly in the playoffs too.

we nee 11 wins and i dont think losing to den is an option, their d is horrible and we're at home, if we lost 2 games it'll probably be the titans and one of the west coast teams since we gotta travel.

I think we need to win our division and not worry about the WC. Buffalo is in big trouble, and if we beat them again they're done. Only Miami or Pats will threaten us for the title, and if we beat Miami a second time then they're done...

Denver has to come here. Not the other way around. Even if we lose this week we still would be 7-4 with Denver, Miami, and Buffalo @ home and San Fran and Seattle on the road. I see no reason why the Jets shouldnt it least be 11-5 with that schedule.
