It's clearly not all the receivers' fault - Rodgers looks awful, and is missing wide open receivers. I wonder if we're going to find out that he's seriously injured.
I remember the furor last year when Matthew Stafford was credited with a TD although the ball never crossed the goal line. Exact same situation as Jackson today To all the experts here who said the ball doesn't have to cross the goal line... You were wrong! Rex should've challenged Would've turned the whole season around
He's not injured and if he comes out and says it's just an excuse, and we all know he loves excuses. The protection hasn't been bad yet today outside of the safety. It seems like a mechanical issue. He's been amazing throwing from unconventional positions in terms of his foot work and arm angles. All those throws off his back foot are catching up to him. He should go back to the drawing board and work on his footwork.
The difference is on that play Stafford actually stepped in the end zone, while in this one Jackson didn't (I just watched a replay of Stafford's TD). If you step in the end zone where the ball is doesn't matter; if you don't, where the ball is determines if it's a touchdown or not.
Lol, Cousins was throwing an out to Jackson and it was jumped for a pick 6, but Reed also jumped it and picked it off from the defender
I think we're going to start seeing teams go for 2 a lot more next year which is exactly what the NFL wants. The Steelers proved the theory correct in converting I believe 8/11 this season on them. Granted they have an elite quarterback and a top offense, but it seems more logical at certain points in the game to go for, especially early. Go up 6-0? The risk/reward factor so early in the game says to go for it.
I like it. The way it was before they could have just given teams 7 for a TD and gone right to the KO.
