Why won't Mangini take out Chad situationally?

Maybe EM subscribes to the "Herm" factor that you do not yank a starter

Just so you know I am a huge Chad suppporter. You guys might think I am crazy but i really feel Chad is good at throwing the deep ball. People just assume he cant throw the deep ball and everyone just blindly agrees to it almost rasing it to the level of a fact. But the truth is, its not that Chad can't throw the deep ball, its that the coaching staff won't let him. The one game they let Chad throw the deep ball this season, he was destroying the titans. I am not saying Chad can rocket the ball deep but hes accurate enough that if he has time he can accurately complete the deep ball. I would really like to know Chad's stats on passes over 20 yards, because the couple times they have showed it in his career they were actually pretty dam good. The reason they dont want chad throwing the deep ball has more to do with the philosophy of the coaching staff rather than Chad's ability.

sure looked like it in j-ville, cleveland, last sunday, and in a very winnable game against the bears. amazing how the cult comes up with so many under-the-bus reasons to defend the duck thrower. :shit:

poty from another board:Spermy Edwards: "Chad blows when he's playing teams that don't suck".

Like it or not, the coach of our team chose to start the guy that gives the team the best shot every Sunday. Until Mangini changes that lineup, you and your friends can boo-hoo week in and week out. My advice is to stock up on the kleenex bub.

I dont agree with doing that. If Chad is your QB then let him be your QB. If you dont think he can win you a game when your behind and you have to throw down the field or he is having a bad game then he shouldnt be in there but dont substitute him for Ramsey or Clemens when you need to throw deep in the 4th quarter because it sends mixed signals to all of your QB's and your whole team. If Chad is the QB then let him be the QB and if Mangini doesnt think that he can cut it then he should pull him. However with all that being said let me just point out that i dont want the Jets to bench Pennington.
