I agree with most of what you’re saying, and I agree 100% that Douglas was awful, but Bowers is the first TE in 20 years taken in the top half of the first round that actually looks like he’s worth the pick. Kyle Pitts was supposed to transform the position. So was Vernon Davis, Kellen Winslow….. on and on. Congrats on being right about Bowers, it’ll be another 20 years before another TE is actually worth drafting that high. But it will always be the right move to draft a franchise LT over a TE. Unless of course you make the right decision the first time on a franchise LT, then you have the luxury of drafting TE’s wherever you want. But it LT is a need, the LT always gets drafted over a TE. There isn’t a GM on the planet that would do otherwise.
