Isn't it pretty clear where the real problem lies though? Pennington is now outperforming Favre with LESS talent than he ever had as a Jet. Favre is a future HOFer and is having trouble. It's the coaching, guys. The operation in Miami is obviously much better and we all know it. Penny certainly does.

I do support the Jets now, I also point out a ton of double standards here when it comes to these 2 guys.

I am not labeling Favre a failure if he does not win the Super bowl, but right now he does not even have us in control of a playoff spot let alone a divisional game.

As for drafting Chad fine it was a failure, but he took us to the playoffs 3 times the only other QB that did that for the Jets is Ken O'Brien.

WAKE UP CALL THEY HAVE ALL BEEN FAILURES OUT SIDE OF JOE NAMATH!!!

All you can do is speculate on what would have been if Chad was still here, that's a fact regardless of what you think you know from the past. Last here the phins were 1-15, things change in case you have not noticed.

You can not say for sure you know what would a have happened either way, because it did not happen, so your thoughts on what would have been is called speculation, that's life that's how it goes in the real world!

Try focusing on some facts, we have a better team this year, and with Brett Favre we are still no better then we were with Chad! Of course this year it's the coaches fault, but last year it was Chad's.

    What else is new?

WHEN did I say that last year was Pennington's fault???

I don't even know what your arguing about anymore.

Favre has sucked the last couple weeks, I've said it a million times but he is not the sole reason we're losing just like Pennington isn't the sole reason the Dolphins are 10-6.

You can keep saying all this "they were 1-15", now with Pennington their 10-5 or whatever. They didn't have a big spending spree BUT THEY GOT ONE HELL OF A COACH AND A PRESIDENT.

I don't even know what your talking about in your post. Are you saying no more speculation, focus on the facts???

I'm not speculating on anything. FACT, Pennington didn't win a Super Bowl, didn't even get to a conference title game, didn't get an MVP, didn't make a Pro Bowl, won ONE divison, was injured a lot.

That's where the double standard is. "YES! Chad got us to 3 playoffs". But if Favre gets us to the playoffs in ONE f'n season with the team, then it doesn't mean anything because he's a HOF'er.

I don't even know what I"m typing because I'm so confused right now.

If your calling Favre a failure if we don't win the Super Bowl. And you acknowledge then that Pennington, Parcells, Testaverde etc were "failures" too. Then fine, thats your viewpoint.

As long as your consistent, good for you. I have nothing to argue with you about then. I personally don't think this season is a failure if we don't win the Super Bowl, you do. Thats cool.

I never said if we don't win the super bowl the season is a failure, but what ever. In case you have not realized Favre has 1 season as a Jet and it's no where near a hall of fame, MVP season, so who cares about his credentials in green bay? I never gave Chad credit for everything or blamed Favre for everything either just pointed out the huge double standard that goes one here when it comes to blame and excuses. I hope we win the division and go all the way, I have nothing against Favre but the FACTS remain right now he has played like dog sh*t the last 4 weeks and has us in a position where we need help to make the playoffs. The only thing I said about speculation is that nobody knows for sure how Chad would have done here or how Favre would have done in green bay for that matter, we can only speculate on it. I was not arguing anything with you or anyone else, but it is a joke how Farve gets a pass on shit Pennington got killed for.

Do you honestly think Favre gets a pass? Have you seen this board? You would think we have NO other problem than Favre. There are people don't acknowledge we have a bad defense, bad coaching, bad playcalling, etc. Sure Favre has sucked but he gets a lot of blame on this board and the media.

It's to a point where people are hoping that Chad Pennington beats the Jets on Sunday just to get some kind of weird pleasure out of seeing Favre fail and Pennington succeed (and the Jets lose).

I think your basing that view on a few peopel that won't let go of Favre's nuts but for hte most part I would say there are more than the share of threads about how Favre is the anti-christ.

This maybe true, and yes I was basing it on some people of course.

I just find it funny how "some" blamed everything on Chad last season and now we have a hugely upgraded O-line and the legendary Brett Favre behind center.

So now those same people blame the coaches, and receivers as if they were not here last year, when they blamed Chad for everything who was playing with way less help.

Ignoring the 40 QB ratings, deep ball ducks, and 22 interceptions, that they would have killed Chad for. How exactly does that work?

Hey, it's the same thing on the Rangers boards most people blamed Jagr for everything that went wrong last year, and now they are all screaming FIRE RENNY!!!

That's how it goes comical, but sad most people are not true through and through, they do not hold their favorites to the same standards they hold the players they hate.

In my book those people are full of sh*t!

Last week we scored 3 points against a team that had 3 wins, sorry but thats not the defenses fault, and it's not all on coaching either, yes the QB is going to take most of the blame on games like that.

Especially when he throws under and behind his receivers, picks, and ends up with a 40 QB rating, come one any criticism posted on that is warranted, and last week was not the only game like that there were far too many.

In fact most of our losses came in this fashion.
