That's exactly what M. Donald Grant said when he began by trading Tom Seaver. Younger, faster, hungrier? How about better. How do they replace the only two difference makers they had on defense last year? You don't replace 10 1/2 sacks, six forced fumbles and ten INT's with younger, faster, hungrier and CHEAPER.

    Are you still here? :shit:

Back on topic..... we've only heard what Mawae has wanted us to hear in this situation. There is CLEARLY more to the story. Did the Jets ask him to take a pay cut? Did Mawae ask for an extension? He never explained that part of it. All he said was the Jets don't want me. I am not at all convinced cutting Mawae was a done deal.... until he went on the radio about it. he KNEW that would be the end of him as a Jet with this regime. He sealed his own fate.

And, wasn't Tanny around when Mawae led the Groh mutiny? Complaing that practices were too hard? And this year, saying they were too soft? Mawae's mouth has gotten him in hot water a lot. We can only guess, because Tangini will never tell us what happened from the team's point of view.
