While I agree #1 Jets Fan is a moron, at the time of the original post not many would have disagreed. You can't bump threads 2 yrs later and be all like 'wow you're an idiot'.... That's not really fair buddy.
I'm bumping a thread that really nobody agreed with at the time of the original post (if you bothered to take the time to read it) and it is still true.
even so, the premise was asinine because the trades wouldn't have been comparable. it would have taken more to trade up for Bush than it did for Revis, so because we traded up for one has zero relevance for not doing so for the other. it doesn't take hindsight to know that, so whatever #1 Jets Fan gets for being an idiot, he deserves.
Reggie Bush is overrated!!!! Plain and Simple he is not making all those cuts and runs like he did in college...We did the right thing by building from the core out
thank you...people dont get it.... you want to trade that many picks then your giving up what is now the core of this team for one player....hes not a QB he's a RB...and even if he was a QB i still dont give up those players for him....i will take brick, mangold, leon, and revis over bush anyday... bush is good but he still isnt the highlight of that offense to begin with but an integral piece. if your going to give up that much talent the guy has got to be the franchise...and bush is not the franchise in New Orleans.

thing is #1 someone realizes that you were wrong quite a few times with pre draft posts. and they have taken the time to call you out on it and make whatever you are saying now seem like exactly the opposite thing to do.
I have no problem with this thread. "We should have traded up for Reggie Bush." Ok. Not everyone thought he was going to be a bust. Hell, I'm still crying in my coffee about not sacrificing the whole draft to get Chris Long last year. But when you couple this thread with "You'll be sorry we didn't get Vince Young..." Yeah, that's a heaping serving of stupid.
Actually that thread was brought up in the Baker's non-catch in Cleveland thread. So it was sort of relevant.
I'd rather have Leon than Bush and we got him in the 4th round. Not looking back at this one with any regrets, let them have Bush.
