I think you should stick to basketball head coaching, perhaps the knicks.

He also nominated Kotite, if that makes you feel any better ;)

I'm pulling for Jay Gruden, as Harbaugh is a long-long-shot.

I think another key factor is his personality with the players.

For better or worse, the players love Rex. Take him away and replace him with a Coughlin type, quiet coach, you're going to shoot yourself in the foot with things such as Mo's extension and Sheldon and Demario coming up in a couple of years. Think those guys will be loyal to us vs. going to whatever winning team Rex becomes the DC of? Hell no.

Harbaugh MAY be able to bridge that gap. You watch him with his team and he seems like he's "one of the guys"

It's Harbaugh by far. I think that he would be a perfect fit. Not sure that he will be available, with the Michigan job open.

Woody Boner might have to hug his Teddy extra tight at night after reading the papers but it wouldn't affect the Jets at all.

Harbaugh is a long shot, one thing that worries me about Harbaugh is what is going on behind closed doors that you are willing to get rid of a coach with this much success so far.

What interests you about Jay Gruden?

I think if it were a high profile guy it would torque Woody off.

But the Giants signed 2 of our RBs off of our PS a few years back and they both were pretty successful and I don't think many people batted an eye.

    I was pissed though :D

"Mutual Interest" Between Raiders and Harbaugh, But Dolphins Could Compete

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported there was "mutual interest" between Harbaugh and the Raiders and explained how a trade would work:

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported on the Raiders and Dolphins' interest in Harbaugh as "trading Harbaugh out of the NFC would be a priority for the 49ers:"

Why can't the Jets get coach like Chip Kelly or Pete Carol (yes I know Pete was our previous coach lol)

Not them specifically but like them, damn they can coach

Do you guys think Jets could fire Idzik and keep Ryan? Woody is a big proponent for Rex Ryan after all.

That would be amazing. Rex gets 3 GMs, 2 rookie QBs, 3 OCs and he gets to stay and maybe get a 3rd rookie QB. That would be ridiculous staying power for someone with a few playoff wins that didn't end in a SB.

    Nick Saban or Tom Coughlin.

I figured since everyone else was throwing out ridiculous prospects for our next head coach, I could do the same...

Adam Gase the Bronco's O-coordinator would be a good choice. I could also see a new GM coming in and liking a guy like Pat Shurmur. Could also go very young with someone like Joe Lombardi.
