Exactly. Moss is a big play, deep route receiver, which doesn't fit the short pass nature of this team.
definitly cotchery and coles... cotchery has shown that he is impossible to bring down with the first hit.. he never goes down from the initial contact
I'm not drinking the kool-aid. I love Jerricho, he's one of my favorites, but Moss is a better receiver.
Cotchery and Coles It's nothing new from me. I didn't like the Moss selection. I wanted Chad Johnson at pick 19 that year. Of course, the Jets moved up to 16 to take Moss and Johnson went 36th overall. Believe it or not, back in 2002 I was hoping for either a Coles-Boldin duo or a Coles-Cotchery duo (I have people who can vouch for me on this). I really liked Cotchery and Boldin at that time. I was pissed when the Jets passed on Boldin. The next year they grabbed Cotchery. Thank goodness. Both players (Cotchery and Boldin) are exactly what I like to see from WRs. They are tough over the middle, have excellent ball skills, and conduct themselves with class.
id definately say coles and cotch at the jets in our present situation. Other teams i might say coles and moss thats just so much talent
This past year was the first time since the Keyshawn draft I have actually paid attention to the draft. I didn't realize we could have had both Johnson and Boldin. We moved UP to grab Moss OVER Johnson? And people complain about the Brian Thomas pick? As for the point of this thread, there are many permutations that would have allowed for any combination of the 3. Had we kept Coles in the first place, we would have had Coles and Moss. Had we not traded Moss, we would have Moss and Cotchery. We do have Coles and Cotchery now. So it's a realistic question. Any combination would be possible.
Coles/Cotch I think we have the toughest receiving tandem in the league. How many tough catches and big hits did Cotch make and take yesterday? The guy is impressive.
I like both Coles and Cotchery. Both of them have great toughness receiving and in the running game. Cotchery really showed his toughness holding on to the ball right after getting clobber time after time yesterday. That takes guts, which Moss never had. Sideline Santana is great is open space, but sucks anywhere else.
