Who would you keep between Cotchery, Edwards and Holmes?

Last week without hesitation I would have said Holmes and Edwards. But, after last night witnessing Stone Hands up to his old tricks, I think Holmes and Cotchery are keepers.

Cotchery is a veteran Jet and almost always comes through with a catch. Plus this guy is a total gamer. I will never ever forget that leaping sprawl of catch he made with an torn groin against the Texans, huge.

Holmes of course has been money since game 5 and gives us huge yards after catch. We'll see how the rest of the year plays out, but, that's what I'm thinking at this juncture.

we made the decision at LG w/o knowing if Slauson could play so why wouldn't we make the decision on Cromartie? We cannot afford to overpay Cromartie, if he wants a reasonable deal he comes back but if not he moves on. We have too many key guys up for new deals and I think Cro is at the back of the line behind Harris, Holmes and Braylon.

it was one game. edwards has showed terrific hands all season. it's not as if they were just flat out drops either. the 3rd down drop was because he got hit as he turned around and the other one was more of a bad throw by sanchez.

Agreed. You need to keep all three if you expect Sanchez to become a top flight QB. After supporting Schotty sinc he got here - I have jumped on the fire Schotty bandwagon. We need an OC that can utilize the talent on this team. Calli is waiting in the wings....

Good point. I'd hate to go without one of our better receivers for another 4-game stint.

With the talent the Jets have on offense, Shitty is doing a lousy job. I'd love to see a new OC the next season. THREE points vs. the Pats? No 1st-quarter TDs since week 4 against the friggin' Bills? WTF is that?! Shitty isn't using Greene, who won't tire before defenses will, nearly enough. The Jets's playing calling on 3rd and short has been atrocious. I hope he's done as the Jets' OC after this year.

GET RID OF BRAYLON. I bought the jersey the day after we signed him because when he was good in Cleveland, I liked to watch the Browns. But after last night, I'm sick of his stonefuckinghands.

Faneca was not playing anywhere near pro bowl level, while a Cromartie has been very nice. Cutting Faneca was addition by subtraction.

Holmes and Cotchery always stay alive for the extended plays, which happen often when Sanchez has to scramble. Honestly, Braylon is just a luxury and I'd rather see more catches go to Keller in clutch moments.

Holmes and Edwards. Although when it comes to what you have to pay them, Holmes + Cotch might make more sense.

I wouldn't mind them signing just holmes and using the rest of the money to find some goddamn cornerbacks after revis + cro.

I know you were talking about Edwards but if Holmes gets into any trouble he could be gone for a whole year.

It's incredible how much this changes but you're absolutely right about Cro. The market for CBs is pretty inflated with the deals for Revis and Aso. I mean shit Nate Clements got wat, a 8 year 80 million dollar deal and he's not even that good a corner.

I have always like JCo, but I would have to pick Holmes because he is all-around better than Edwards and Cotchery. Edwards cant catch, so I wouldnt consider choosing him.

Let Edwards go. While rarely doing it this year, he has a history of dropping balls.

Also that pass to Braylon on the out route was fucking terrible. He had to dive for it and could only get an outstretched left hand on it.

Keep Holmes. Get rid of Edwards after this season. One more mistake outside the field and he gets suspended.

Holmes is a risky keep. One more failed drug test and he's out for a year. I don't think he'll ever get another long-term contract. Edwards is also risky, but not as risky. Of course, he's not as good either. Quite the conundrum.

If you wanna do it that way, might as well toss holmes. If he gets caught smoking a little mary jane he is gone for an entire season. At least if Edwards does something stupid he is lost for at max 4 games, and likely would only be 1 depending on the incident
