I would trade out of the pick if we didnt have a shot a gholston and acquire a first and a 3rd to replenish the one we traded for Jenkins. Mcfadden maybe the real deal but then we have made two players mad in Jones and Washington if we add Mcfadden to the list. I think we can add Gholston for DE/OLB purposes. If that can't be you can trade the pick to a rb needy team like Dallas or Chicago, drop back and pick a wideout or a tackle or even a corner or safety even. I dont see Rb as a position of need right now, if our line is as good as the signings will indicate then TJ and Washington will wreck the place up.

  2. Here's another to consider w/ DMAC:

Our left side of the line is now EXTREMELY athletic. Faneca has made a living getting to the second level as well as pulling. Brick is also great blocking downfield and Mangold is Mangold....

Say what you will about DMAC, but he has that rare ability to turn the outside corner w/ little to no delay, and w/ blazing speed. He's the best I've seen at it since Terell Davis before his obvious injury problems.

You combine DMAC w/ that left side of the line on some sweeps, outside screens and misdirections...and man...that's a long day for opponents. Seems like a natural fit to me, and something to consider.

i'd rather trade with dallas for those two 1's and a 3rd.

i'd also look for a speedy wr or consider flacco at qb with one of those 3 picks.

I agree. Then at #6 he is definitely BPA unless we felt like Ellis could fit in.

How the hell can anyone like Slaton better then Rice? Most teams are not even looking at Slaton to play RB! Alot of teams have him as a Slot WR. I mean do you think the Jets are planning to run the spread option next year? Slaton as a between the tackles NFL RB is just funny. If the Jets pass on Rice in the second round they will be sorry. He wont be around in the 3rd.

If McFadden is there at #6 we should take him. However, we should not trade up. We are in a pretty good position where we can take the BPA. We also have a lot of needs to address, so we need our picks. Don't do anything crazy, but if he is still there, we should definitely take him.

with ATL getting turner, if Oakland passes on Dmac he will almost certainly be there

Dmac= Pats killer, Running away from all of those old men!

BUT we do have have Jones and Leon and I think we are going to see a trade IMO.

The only way you will get McFadden is to trade to #3 from #6 which would basically cost us our 2nd round pick and given that we already traded awat our 3rd rounder this would leave us looking a little light from day 1 I think.

Also its easy to pick up a good back in the later rounds and a high draft pick on a back is no guarantee of success, much better to use that on a top OL or DL prospect.

    I like Gholston at 6.
If he's gone, I def like McFadden, unless Dallas willing to fork over their #1's plus .
Then I'd look for Groves and Cherilus with those Dallas picks, and eye a WR or CB with our 2nd rounder.
