    I never looked at the star ratings. I usually look to see if a topic is hot or not. The star rating is kinda misleading. A thread could be good to some but not others and vise versa. Nobody gains anything by submarining a rating....cheap thrills.

    I got an idea.

    someone make a thread, and have only one person in it at all times. he will see the thread starless and get in there obviously. have the original person refresh the page every 3.7 seconds to see " viewing thread" and vua la, caught him red handed.

    Perhaps it is time the ranking system went the way of post counts. That is how we deal with things in America... if there is a problem we just censor the hell out of it. :up:
