This is true and a great observation, however great players are always great regardless of scheme and coaching. Players that warrant 7th overall can’t be guys that suddenly ahowed up for a year. I like Warren, but there’s even some reports now that have Loveland ahead of him. If we’re stuck at 7 the pick has to be McMillan or an OT. If we can trade down to the 15-20 range I’d be more inclined to target Warren. Again, I feel Warren will be decent in the NFL, but not a game breaking generational talent. I won’t vomit from picking Warren at 7, but it will be a huge risk for this regime.

I'm almost certain we will RUN to the podium if MEMBOU is still on the board. He's my pick at #7

Big man that can move and is a mauler in the run game. A true RT. Plug and play for 8-10 Years. It would also round out a young line who may have the potential to play together for the next 4-6 years
    OLU-BIG JOHN-TIPP-AVT-MEMBOU

I think it's pretty clear AG wants to be a run first team. It was a major part of the success in Detroit, add in his recent praise of our three running backs, as well as the acquisition of JF...

Now if Mason Graham is somehow still on the board, He'd be my pick. Him and Q would be dominate, and the front 4 would be elite.
    JJ/Q/Mason/WMC

    Needs in order
    OT
    DT/NT
    S
    WR

This draft is heavy with first round defensive talent. Seems like a year when there might be good value moving down in Round 1. If the target is offense, the only player I see with game-breaker talent at #7. Ashton Jeanty. Ordinarily I’d discount the guy for all the meat sack defenses Boise State plays, but he was consistently strong against Power Four teams. And yeah, I know, RB isn’t our greatest position of need. Neither was TE last year. Jeanty isn’t the same no-brainer that Bowers was, but close.

I think it'll be OL or Warren.

    OL at #7 works.

The interesting thing would be if Sanders and/or Dart are around at the end of the first round. Would it be worth moving up a few spots back into the first round to get one?

That search firm we used to hire Glenn releaed their own mock draft and had us taking Membou. Safe to say that seems to be the most likely pick.
