what hysterical is that this poll was done two months before favre came on the scene, and I think he, Jenkins and Pace would be a 3 way tie.

All three shaped that game into a win for us.

Jenkins miles ahead of the rest. Pace, Favre, Faneca, Richardson in that order, all close to being a tie.

agreed. If you want to win in this league....you need to stop the run....and Jenkins is one of the main reasons why the Jets were successful in that area on Sunday.

The other acquisitions mentioned are great too...i'm not discounting them by any means....but i love the Jenkins pick-up...excellent value indeed.

My first thought is Favre, Jenkins and Lowery in that order.

Favre made a bunch of plays yesterday that none of our guys could make last season.

Jenkins has completely changed the DL and interior run defense.

Lowery has made the question of "who will be the #2 CB" moot.

One guy that deserves mention, though, is Alan Faneca. Other than one minor penalty I didn't notice him much yesterday. And that's exactly what you want out of your interior line. Guys who do their jobs without a problem.

Compare that to Clarke last season who was like a turnstile at LG. I was constantly noticing him and for all the wrong reasons.

Gruden hugged Mangini at the owners' meeting and thanked him for taking Kris Jenkins out of the division. And you know squat about football, so why am I even responding to this retarded post?

    This offseason was a total pisser. If I had devised an JETS Offseason Mock thread that included the following acquisitions;

    Kris Jenkins
    Calvin Pace
    Brett Favre
    Alan Faneca
    Tony Richardson
    Damien Woody

..........I can't imagine how many posters would have called me a crack addict.

no kidding! "You want to fill every hole in one off season, never gonna happen, moron"

I can see post after post of such responses if someone had done that. :jets:

Favre is easily the best offseason pickup, probably of all time. Pretty nice when Jenkins, Pace, Faneca and Woody are 2,3,4,5 in your offseason pickup rankings.

Dude...I like your post, but its way to early in season for me to give a bonafide answer. Jenkins....due to his position & Jets need of a bigger player at NT. I will answer better by week 9 or 10.

Ok we are 1/4 of the way through the season. Faneca won this poll up until this point. If we remade this poll I would be interesting to see if he kept his spot. My opinion is the same. Jenkins by far was our best pick up, our defense is entirely different without the guy.

Look at the date of the OP, and then find the date in which Favre was signed.

    Jenkins wins on this list.

I Dont know why Faneca is #1 although its not crazy since he's done a very good job so far but i gotta go with the Big Man in the middle Kris Jenkins.
