Boldin isn't going to want to go to a team with no proven starting QB, so you can scratch him off the list.
Boldin has to have a no trade clause in his contract or he will go where ever hes traded. He does not want to be in Arizona.
Our #1 has not signed yet...it's not like we had a true #1 anyway. L.C. was a #1 by default. Cotchery is a true #2
The jets will without doubt draft a WR in either round 1 or 2--They may also look for a M. Colston in rounds 6 or 7--I would not be surprised if they drafted 2 WRs. I believe they want to give Clowney a chance. I like the moves--Coles was a big whiner with a history of med problems--the LAST thing we needed is him in a contract year. Put Cotch, Stuckey and Clowney with a 1st round WR and we got a good nucleaus--save Wallace Wright for special teams--Now if they can just lose Brad Smith and Bryan Thomas, I can see us really contending next year.
I hope we get him somehow, if Sanchez is gone trade down to like 23 and snag him while picking up a 3rd.
Brad Smith was cut and Stuckey would be ahead of Clowney on the depth chart for now. It is no secret that the Jets are looking for a starting WR now.
1) Getting him in the draft and building him up since this year we rely on running game (Rex Words) 2) Cotchery 3) Clowney as a deep threat 4) Stuckey as a slot reciever 5) B. Smith or someone we draft (5-6-7 round) if we trade (not CUT) him to the Browns 6) Someone i don't care who (maybe Henry since we drafted him and he's big?) - I don't think W. Wright actually is a reciever... he is going to be a perennial special teams player (although very good) who will train to catch 1 or 2 balls as a WR someday. And i'm good with that, i think every team has at least a player on it's roster just because of the added value on ST. - In the draft i hope we either go with Maclin or Nicks.... maaaaaaaaaaaybe Robiskie but only if we trade way down (or up in the 2nd) but i think he's more of a Cotchery guy.
He's not a very good receiver but excellent on special teams. He did put up over 700 yards and 2 TD's this year (receiving+rushing). That's not bad production for a #4 receiver.
Wright can run in a straight line but the second he has to change direction he slips and falls. It's pathetic. Brad Smith is a huge threat with the ball in his hands, but he can't get much separation. With Wright, you know every time he's on the field he is either running a hang route with another receiver clearing out coverage above him or he is running a fly. Wallace Wright is not a receiver. Get it through your heads.
WRs very very rarely produce in their rookie seasons. It is unusual for a receiver to be productive in year two also. A receiver does not usually break out until his third NFL season. Plus, historically more first round WRs bust than make it big. So if you think the Jets are going to find the star of the 2009 Jet offense on the draft board, you haven't been following football closely enough. Sure there are exceptions (Randy Moss, Andre Johnson), but for each one of those , there are 20 Peter Warricks. The Jets need a LB in the first round and will get much more production out him. You draft for depth at WR and promote from within to fill Coles' spot. Stuckey has a far better chance of producing than any rookie. As for Cotchery, before Favre came in with his inabilty to throw the deep ball (or throw at all over the last 5 games), he was a budding star. Cotchery has great hands and is one of the best WRs in the NFL after the catch. In the right situation, he can be a 1200 yard, 8 TD guy.
