And several things contributed to the Giants fall last season... 1. Burress. DUH. 2. Amani Toomer stopped being a legit #2 option. Lost in the Burress bedlam was the fact that Toomer stopped getting seperation. 3. Brandon Jacobs got hurt and never fully recovered. all this lead too... 4. The Giants were left with an undermanned/inexperienced WR core that defenses could key on because Jacobs was out/not playing at 100%. I will admit Eli was attrocious in that playoff game, but he is far from the only reason the team went downhill after Burress left.
