If you watched last year our QB was killed up the middle way more than off the edge. If you want to fix our OL get a couple of solid guards and a center along with a RT and a blocking TE. Drafting a great LT might not do anything to protect the QB other than funnel more rush up the middle?

Get D'Brick with first pick and you can pick a quality DE with the second pick.
I think that is the direction of this regime.

When Kendall first transitioned to center he was absolutely atrocious. He would miss blocks completely and always seemed to be looking in the wrong direction from the rush. He got better as the season progressed but it was still pretty bad, and Goodwin was equally as horrible. We need a center, RT, and a guard to back up Kendall / Moore and I hope we fill these needs on day one of the draft, maybe the guard in rounds 4-5.

The truth is Mawae started the season out of shape and was just as bad. I even thought that Moore looked lost most of last year. It could have been the blocking scheme that Hermdinger brought in as well but the middle of our line was a real problem.

I wasn't really that impressed by Jones but for a guy thrown into the fire like he was, it's hard to say he was the problem. I thought he was beat mostly on inside moves and it's very hard to tell if that's his fault or the guards fault? D'Brick is also going to be beatin to the inside until he fully develops his body and adjusts to the pro game.

Take the big tackle!!! We need 2 young book end tackles to anchor the O line for the next 6-8 years. Still not sold on Jones as of yet but it was hard to get a handle on him last year with all of the O line problems. I'm not gonna give up on him yet.

we need offense right now so much more than defense, I cannot fathom how more peopel want a DE, we already have 3m 2 are good and 1 is decent, while all our tackles are mediocre except jones who is barely above average....

I?m not really too high on Jones either, and I won?t be too upset if we draft D?brick, but I would still prefer taking someone like Eric Winston, Andrew Whitworth, or Ryan O?Callahan in the second round or so and playing them at RT, and give Jones another year to prove himself at LT. With a new RT and C and better G depth this line can improve dramatically.

Penny is a flipflopper. I've done my fair share of it this offseason, but I think I've stayed with Brick for the mostpart

SUPER MARIO - Holding strong at over 60%....

    - Just like I figured. As the draft approaches, I say it's a lock that the majority of Jet fans want Mario.

I would prefer Williams over D'Brick because we don't know what we have in Jones with an actual compenant oline around him, we still need an RT and Jones doesn't fit the mold for an RT, and with our bad position on offense we can't afford to use 2 of our high picks on olineman without a playmaker

Listening to Greeny on ESPN you would think most jets fans would want only Leinart....

Also, I don't think the sample we have from this poll means the majority will agree with you, since a majority of the fans on this forum have been doing some extra research about all the top picks. Nevertheless I'm fine with either one, I hope Adrian Jones is as good as advertised though....

The upside of having Jones on the squad is that he's built in a very similar mold to Ferguson. That's honestly why I think the Jets could get much more value drafting a McNeil type at the end of the first round and using the #4 on something else. We already have Cavka on the team and can draft another late round OT as depth, as well as OG.

That's where everybody goes wrong. Just because I am talking about us drafting D'brick now, doesn't mean I have fallen out of favor of drafting a QB...

The list of players I am about to list are guys I would love to see in Green and it doesn't really matter to me which one we get...

    1- Reggie Bush
    2- Matt Leinart
    3- Mario Williams
    4- D'brick

These are guys I have talked about all offseason. I started out right after the season wanting Deangelo, but I have narrowed my favorites to this group...

AGAIN...just because I am talking about D'Brick now doesn't mean he is the only guy I want or will talk about being a Jet.

91 Votes.... That's a good snapshot to me... The % isn't changing to much - And I'll continue to say that as we get closer to the draft people will join the Mario Bandwagon - Especially when they find out their "he's the same as Abe" excuse is a bunch of baloney.

I don't think Greeny is the most knowledgeable Football guy around - He's just another fan but, with a mike... I've scremed at the radio from mistakes he's made regarding Jet personel, contract issues, etc etc etc...

Most people on this site really dislike D'Brickashaw for reasons that I can't understand. I also can't understand why we would need a pass rushing DE when we are running a 3-4 and already have Ellis, von Oelhoffen and Thomas. We currently have Adrian Jones and Jason Fabini at offensive tackle.

In my opinion Ferguson is the second best prospect in the draft after Reggie Bush. And he plays at a great position of need for us. I don't really see why we wouldn't draft him.

Mario Williams, without a shadow of a doubt. He is a better prospect, and fills a need.

    Ouch - Dips below 60%.

    I suspect foul play.

Exactly 60 40 with 110 people voting. Not bad but there are more people that need to express their opinion.
