Correct. However, I think that the Jets best bet in this draft is either super mario williams (could be 3-4 olb or de) who is a total monster...or aj hawk. Right now with the QB Position solved for the year we should concentrate on creating a young, feared defense, centered around williams and vilma or hawk and vilma.

If the Jets thought Ramsey was a starting QB they wouldn't have played hardball over a 4th or 5th rounder. He is strictly insurance or our permenant #2. Chad isn't medically cleared to play and may never play another game again in the NFL for all anyone knows. The Jets still need a franchise QB and if one of the big 3 are available we take them unless they have confidence that Marcus Vick or one of the other lower rated QB's are potential franchise QB's and they feel they can get them in a later round. The smart move and necessary move is to get the franchise QB with this pick. The team is in a rebuilding mode and it will take a couple of years to develop the QB anyway.

That makes a lot of sense let's get rid of a proven DE and then draft one and sit back and hope he can prove himself.

Someone who is thinking. No way they take a QB with a high pic. Either D'Brick or Williams should be coming to the Jets on D Day.

truth of the matter is no one knows. the jets have been so tight lipped we are not even sure who is on the radar. only draft visits they set so far where for the 3 qbs

Only reason I would take a TE there, mainly because we could use a good blocker at the end of the line, along with another potential good target in the receiving corps, because McCareins can't catch a cold.

There is no way D'Brick ever comes to this team, period. We need help on our o-line at the RT, C, and G positions, not LT! We need to use the pick for something we really need.

Trade down, get some extra picks, and draft DeAngelo.

the only replacement for JA at this point would be Mario Williams...

then we can have lots of Super Mario Avatars

i think its d'brick with key oline free agents gone like bently who i guess was never really an option but most of all that guy from the falcons...hopefully they could get ashworth but i guess that would be a huge stretch too
