When I say strong I meant level of gameplay- the folks surrounding Vilma definitely played at a higher level, as they were set in the perfect scheme.
I was a huge fan of Vilma while he was in the 4-3, he had one hell of a Rookie season, but at the same time I have to say Harris has been more impressive because we drafted him in the 2nd round and also because he has shown the ability to not only make plays behind the LOS but he has also shown that he can rack up 20+ tackles in any given game and overall dominate for 4 quarters... And for a MLB in a 3-4 Defense, thats impressive. I remember sometime during this year where Vilma said something like "It's almost impossible for a 3-4 MLB to record alot of tackles during a game" Well D.Harris has proved Vilma wrong on that one.
Also... I just wanna add that D.Harris is doing great behind a 4-3 DT in Robertson who is trying to play the role of a 3-4 NT... When Vilma played I believe he had Ferguson on the D-line who was a great fit for a 4-3 DT and Vilma also had Ellis and Abe on the D-Line...
I can't believe it is 66-33 David Harris in the poll. Vilma had a great rookie season. Oh how quickly people forget.
