No, I turned it off just before half time. I'm sick, and was a little burned out on football after having watched so many games the last 2 days. LOL

Watching Bortles tonight, he's like a poor man's Andrew Luck (doesn't have the football IQ of Luck - but physically I see similarities). Besides the INTs, he played better then I expected him to.

That's a pretty good comparison. I was sitting here trying to figure out who he reminds me of. Now that you've said it, that's it.

Pretty good summation - I agree wholeheartedly.

But then, if he had the football wits of Andrew Luck, he wouldn't even be playing for UCF Knights in the first place.

And this game solidified my belief in him - he is not a 1st round candidate. 2nd round pick at best. If someone reaches for him - well. good for him. If he slips past 2nd though, I would like to see the Jets snag him.

Bortles is garbage, he did not impress me tonight despite the UCF's high scoring night. He's got very good footwork but I'm not a fan of his arm.

I like the Baylor QB Bryce Petty better as a prospect, he should be a top 10 pick next year with another year at Baylor under his belt IMO.

I can't believe McShay has Bortles going third overall. It's laughable to me.

Manziel is worthy of the #1 pick. I wonder if the Texans would actually take him.

    Bump.

I started this thread last year right after the draft when people were clamoring for the Jets to tank in order to have a shot at a good QB in this draft.

The list was not mine, but copied from Scout.com's "top 10 QBs for next year's draft". I set the poll to close after one month so we could compartmentalize the returns to solely that period of time.

The Jets didn't tank, and ended up with the guy TGG voted 3rd most likely to be a top-10 overall pick in this draft. On top of that, it turns out that NONE of these guys would have been worth tanking for, as they were all available at the Jets spot at #18.

Also interesting that Bortles wasn't even in the Scout top 10, yet ends up the 3rd overall selection.
