to be honest when I heard we signed Pennington in training camp way back when, I absolutely hated it. I was ready to go into the season with Josh McCown (i was dumb) or even Henne as a rookie. I made fun of Pennington so many times it was hard watching him at first in a Dolphins uni. Sparano even admitted that had not Pennington came along, Henne would have been the starter. I did not begin to believe in Pennington until the San Diego game that we won to take us to 2-2. But now I respect the guy and love his competitive fire. He brings alot to our team even as a mentor to Henne. I don't see JT playing beyond this year for you guys. Isn't he scheduled to make like 10 mil next year as an option?
The JT contract was a 1 year deal with a bunch of window dressing. He's a 1 year stopgap until the Jets can seriously address their blindside pass rusher situation.
