TJ is the de facto leader of the team. He's the one that fires up the team in pregame speeches, and cries like a little bitch afterwards

    Its the grief bunch.

They dont offer discussion or ignore topics they disagree with. They post in them for one purpose - to make a fellow fan feel stupid - and I guess that makes them feel smart. I couldn't say.

I have seen this in other threads and now its in one of mine.

We all root for the same team. Yet their is an element at TGG that waits for opportunities to insult people personally. And that is their only contribution to a thread.

They troll for an opportunity to be mean to other members and give them grief. This thread is a perfect example.

When I see a topic I disagree with, I explain why I dont agree - or more often - I ignore the topic all together. What the heck is with people that post for no other reason then to cast personal insults at other members?

It drags this site down and makes us all look bad.

Thats my doing bro. The original post had the line:

"the last few years we had Chad on offense and Vilma on defense taking charge in crunch time"

I removed that part in hopes of a real discussion but...

Damn ouchy, why do u even continue to post? If we didn't have leader ship we would not be 9-5 yeah we've been inconsistant but to say we lack on field leader ship is off base. But then again this is you and I don't expect anything more than this.

    noooooooooooo......

you didn't see any leadership anywhere, so you think there is none..... that's like saying something doesn't exist because you haven't seen it first hand, when if you asked someone on the team who the leader is they'd tell you.

    it's just a bad thread.

hahahaha..... I felt a better avatar opportunity came to be.

Slight narcissism too. I created the Darrelle Revis House of Worship thread, so the avatar is self-serving. But it looks so cool I had to take it. Thanks to DWalsh.

That avatar was awesome though. It summed up a whole fan base in one picture.

Ouchy's is right on, just as the original poster is.

The veterans that were brought in here may have experience, and may have been leaders on their original teams, but they have yet to exert their influence in these games.

That's to be expected to some degree...none of these guys are the type to come in the first year and assert themselves, especially when you have so many veterans joining the team at once.

I'm sure the vets have provided some leadership in terms of example and maybe some words of wisdom, but, right now, I've seen no one exorting this team in the huddle or on the sidelines.

Most of these guys are quiet types to begin with...Jenkins, Faneca, even TJ.

Favre has spunk but we've seen countless shots of him looking lost, befuddled and absolutely by himself on the bench during rough patches. In those moments he looks like a man who wished he stayed in GB or retired.

To his credit, he's come out and performed after some of these tough patches, and that's all you can really ask.

But neither he nor any of these other guys will ever be confused with a Singletary, Ray Lewis or an LT in terms of emotion.

Discussing intagables is not your strong suit bro.

However, spelling mistakes is your "A" game

I think the leadership problems reside with the coaches. Sure, the plaers have not been getting it done on the field, but why is it that this team still doesn't have an established identitiy on offense. Most of us know that they're a running team, but the coaching staff seems to be fighting to avoid this.
And how many touches did Washington get last weekend? Its pathetic.

the coaches are not on the field

someone has to lead on the field

Also, sometimes having to many "leaders" can be as bad as having nobody leading

A leader has to be someone who has the whole teams respect. When a team comes out flat, players look to the leader for motivation. It can be a big part of regaining momentum in a game.

Please explain how you would know if any of the players are demonstrating leadership qualities on the field.

We've seen quotes from Mangini, Washington, Cotchery ... talking about Favre's leadership when the game is on the line. I guess none of them would know better then you though?
